NPC Corruption[edit source]

Yes, is it not recommended that he should be made playable or summoned over. I invited him over to a party once and when he left, buy and build mode locked up (just for that lot, the others were still fine). It is just lucky that this corruption was fixed after installing some expansion packs. Interacting with a carpool driver is no better than interacting with the Social Worker. I cloned him in Create a Sim. It's just sad that carpool drivers can't interact with other Sims under normal circumstances.C.Syde65 (talk) 03:46, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Interacting with[edit source]

All carpool drivers can't be interacted with by other Sims (minus evil mascots). Carpool drivers must be the ones to start interactions.C.Syde65 (talk) 03:49, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Simology[edit source]

I don't get it. If the trivia says his skills, personality, and interests are always different, why would he have all those points here in the first place? We should always avoid any contradicting or oblivious statements! Nikel Talk Vote! 03:55, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Well those personality, skill points and interests are those that he always has in Pleasantview. They are randomized only in other neighbourhoods. Still, I think it would be unwise to delete anything off his page. This sort of interest, personality and skill randomizing happens with all NPC types - Maids, Sales Clerks, Paper Deliverers, Bill Deliverers, Repairmen, Pizza Deliverers etc. The base game townies always have the same interests and personalities however. C.Syde65 (talk) 22:38, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Still, it's very strange. All custom neighborhoods' townies and NPCs are based on Pleasantview template, so how come they have different points? Nikel Talk Vote! 06:29, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

It's just how the base game NPCs work. C.Syde65 (talk) 00:21, December 31, 2013 (UTC)

Does it happen to any other NPCs? Nikel Talk Vote! 15:37, January 1, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I've seen it happen in my custom neighborhoods. Remington Harris, an outgoing maid in Pleasantview, is a bit shy but still enjoys annoying and starting fights with other people in a custom neighborhood I made. Yeah it happens with all the NPCs in Pleasantview when they appear in custom neighbourhoods (minus the townies obviously). This happens with the well known Kaylynn Langerak and Dustin's friend the burglar - Gordon King. I'll be using SimPE to edit their skills and interests to make them identical to the Pleasantview ones. It'll be annoying but worth it. C.Syde65 (talk) 22:18, January 1, 2014 (UTC)

Turning Carpool Drivers into Townies[edit source]

It wouldn't be exactly safe turning a carpool driver like David into a townie with SimPE, would it? I just did it on someone else's computer and nothing bad has happened...yet. I wouldn't be doing this if I was currently on my own computer. C.Syde65 (talk) 21:55, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

The symptoms of corruption don't appear at the same time for all people. Some people may notice problems immediately - other people may see the corruption get back to them in months, even years. Just because nothing happens as soon as you do a VBT doesn't mean it's safe.
