Step-siblings[edit source]

In The Sims games, can a Sim marry his/her step-sibling? BakeryChaz ~ (let's have a chat!) 05:58, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

I think that is not possible.Defending Star (talk) 08:33, August 13, 2012 (UTC) Lesya Zirka
IIRC, step-siblings did not recognize each other as family in The Sims 2, so they would have been able to marry. However, this would not be the case in The Sims 3. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 13:53, June 7, 2014 (UTC)
They can marry if you marry a son and a daughter before marrying the sons father and the girls mother. Like you marry Sam to Sandi and then you marry Leighton to Molly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.18.167.59 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Once I had two Sims (one pre-made and one CAS) which I wanted to be adopted siblings, but I made them go steady instead. But eventually I decided that I didn't like the idea of two Sims being in love (who were supposed to be siblings through adoption) so I broke them up.

By this time their parents had gotten married, so the 'siblings' were not able to rekindle their romance. The interactions available to them were identical to those of biological siblings. I had to use an evil witch to erase their memories and make them forget about their past romance.

When I got SimPE I used it to link their family trees together, and tick their sibling flags, so they would recognize each other as siblings. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:35, August 3, 2014 (UTC)

Incorrect family relations[edit source]

hello sometimes wen i create a family in the sims 2.

and make a family where a sim has a child and a sibling. the child dosnt recognize his parents sibling as his oncle/aunt and vise versa (the oncle/aunt not his/her niece/nephew) but if the oncle/aunt has a child this child is recognized as a cousin. is something wrong with my game? 46.150.62.98 (talk) 19:52, August 26, 2018 (UTC)

Please ask for help with issues in your game in the Help desk forum, not on this talk page. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 01:38, August 28, 2018 (UTC)
