Console Games[edit source]

What about The Goth Manor from Bustin Out? do we include as a goth home? do we need more information? or are we really following just PC storylines. i.e adding it will mess up the storyline like the mrs.agnes ctrumplebottom confusion?

tell me what you think. i don't wanna mess up the page. its so pretty ^-^FREEDOM 55

Prequal[edit source]

It seems that Mortimer is a kid in 3. 71.131.0.173 18:11, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Lolita Goth[edit source]

Whoever she is, she does not appear to be closely related to any of the Goths in The Sims 3.

I've fully resurrected the Goth graveyard (using the Restore Ghost and then feeding the ghosts Ambrosia). Lolita doesn't count any of the Goths, including Victor, as a family member. Her looks and clothing style suggests that she's somewhat long-dead though and I suppose she's a very long time dead relative.

I know that having died of electrocution somewhat frumples my theory but then again, what was she supposed to die of? fire? drowning? Starvation?

Sims 1 Home - Bella's or Mortimer's?[edit source]

Since the theory is that all the ghosts in the graveyard of the Goth's home in the Sims 1 are related to Bella due to their skin tone, could it be considered that the home used to be the Bachelor House and Bella moved her family in after her parents died, and that the actual Goth home is that of Gunther's and Cornelia's? Thetford 14:05, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Additional: Especially since it's the Bachelors who live on Sim Lane in the Sims 3, meaning that (in the PC series at least) Bella has always lived on that street (aside from a brief detour to Strangetown). Thetford 14:35, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

I've always thought that the connection between the two families was a retcon, and wasn't thought of when the original game was created. Also, the name "Sim Lane" persists, but the street changes. It's not necessarily the same street. Dharden (talk) 15:37, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Sims 3 Goth Manor Entrance[edit source]

Is there any particular reason why the Goth Manor in Sims 3's Front entrance is to side of the lot? Nobody ever goes in through the front door and it has a nice entrance, but it really bothers me because it's not at the front of the house :S Why did they make it like that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Claxwell (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

No idea. I've never played the Goths in Sunset Valley. Have you tried clicking the intended front door and use the "set as front door" option? Nikel Talk Vote! 15:35, October 26, 2013 (UTC)
Or you could rotate your lot to your liking. Joey.eyeball (talk) 04:52, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

Split[edit source]

It seems strange that (to my knowledge) this article is the only example of an article written about different lots in different games. There are recurring families in the series, but when we have articles written about their homes, the articles are named based on the address of the lot. I believe the Goths should follow this pattern as well. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 03:32, June 4, 2014 (UTC)

I somewhat agree. I'm sure the original idea why the lots are compiled here was that these are all where the Goths have once resided. Perhaps splitting each lot into its own article and making a section about the Goth's residence in Goth family is a better solution? The Goth family article has already had the section about the residence, though. Perhaps it needs expanding. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:40, June 7, 2014 (UTC)
Simply put, I think having an article about different Goth homes, while not having articles about other recurring family homes, improperly indicates that the Goth family is the most important family in the game. Whether they are the most prolific or the most well-known is irrelevant, as the wiki needs to treat the subject matter in a neutral manner. Creating a page specifically for different houses the Goth family has resided in, without doing the same for every other game family, reeks of favoritism towards the Goths, and is certainly not in keeping with the idea of neutrality. That's why I've proposed the article be split. Each individual lot should have its own page (e.g., 5 Sims Lane, 165 Sim Lane, 13 Skyborough Blvd./Goth Manor), just as we do in every other instance. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 01:48, September 16, 2014 (UTC)
I have split the section on the home in The Sims 4 into Ophelia Villa. Regardless of what is done to the rest of the article, that makes sense to me because it is in a separate continuity. Dharden (talk) 14:38, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
That's probably for the best... keeping this article as the original timeline/continuity and Ophelia Villa as a separate one. --The Grumpy Cat (talk) 15:17, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
Personally, I'm inclined to that viewpoint, but LiR makes a good case for adhering to our standard practice for lot articles. Dharden (talk) 19:55, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
