Rewritten most of the article[edit source]

I've rewritten most of the article and expanded it to include more possible cases, and to be less vague. There is a two tile grill in the Literature club.

Good catches about visitors getting stuck. Nice. LOL.

People, the hobbyist and the initial two visitors as well, are placed by a new LUA function. On community lots they were ordered to walk from the portal to an object, which ensured that they either reached it, walked as close as possible, or remained at the portal. This took time. The LUA places people instantly, but it contained bugs. Is this bug currently fixed in Apartments?

Instructor?[edit source]

The NPC is called "iconic hobbyist" internally, I've never heard him referred to as an "instructor", but I've kept this term and provided an alternative. Where does it say Instructor exactly? (I'm not saying it's wrong, but to become clear which is the display and which the internal name.) Do we need to split off this info in an article about the NPC?

Instructor is the role they play in the game. That the internal name is "iconic hobbyist" is worth noting, especially since the name is used in the patch notes, but the name may not be particularly meaningful to average players looking for gameplay info. Greeting by the instructor[edit source]

Originally the greeting of the instructor was awkward, which should be pointed out in the article. Please describe his final appearance in Apartments and later, which I do not know, so I can choose the correct tense before adding this info.

In the first FreeTime version, to deliver the membership card, the instructor would walk into the house unannounced without permission, towards the recipient, even they happened to be in a bathroom or a bedroom. He obeyed door locks, but would persistently display the route failure animation a few times near the locked doors.

I don't have AL either, so I don't know. Also, I got FreeTime after the second patch was out, and installed Pescado's nohobbyspam before ever playing the Pack, so I never saw the unpatched or unmodded behavior. As I recall, being aware of what was behind locked doors is an issue with the doors, not with any particular NPC. Dharden (talk) 16:48, January 18, 2013 (UTC)
