Chippie Packet Snatching?[edit source]

Lucy Hanby briefly worked as a Maid for Darren Dreamer and Cassandra Goth in my player stories, but she was eventually fired by Cassandra due to her lack of kindness and respect, even with six nice points. Lucy even went as far as to snatch chippie packets from Cassandra, though I've never seen that sort of Autonomous reaction happen before, or since. Maybe Cassandra and Lucy just never got on.

The question is, has anyone else had a Sim snatch a chippie packet from another Sim as an autonomous action, like Lucy Hanby did in my game? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:41, March 25, 2014 (UTC)

I haven't seen that specific action, but I have seen it with leftovers. Whenever my sims used to get leftovers from the fridge, if there was a maid on the lot, the maid would snatch the food from them and dispose of it, as if it was spoiled. Even though the food was still good. WayfinderOwl (talk) 03:18, March 25, 2014 (UTC)
I suppose that's what I meant, but it was like two and a half years since this happened. Whatever the reason was, I still found it irritating. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:27, March 25, 2014 (UTC)
I think it's just one of the annoying coding quirks of TS2. (And by quirks I mean miscoding that Maxis  neglected to fix.) It doesn't happen when the maid is off the lot. The maids probably think it is litter or something. I just waited until the maids were off the lot before my sims ate leftovers or snacks. They don't throw away juice drinks though, unless they are left on counters/tables/floor as far as I've seen. WayfinderOwl (talk) 03:42, March 25, 2014 (UTC)
I agree to what you've said, and in those days my Sims probably would have perished had they not eaten snacks whenever (I wasn't terribly good at keeping on top of my Sim's motives in those days). It's just that Lucy Hanby had already initiated negative interactions on Cassandra Goth, and showing no sign of improvement. Whether or not it is an actual coding quirk, this was still dismissed as unacceptable behaviour. As far as I was concerned, Lucy was there to annoy Cassandra at least as much as she was there to work, so I thought she might as well enjoy losing her job. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:51, March 25, 2014 (UTC)
