Illegitimate or not[edit source]

While the Sim's bio does say that she is illegitimate, it isn't possible to say that she is the only deceased pre-made that is illegitimate because the in-game family tree does not keep the marital status of deceased parents. -- Icemandeaf (talk) 23:06, March 11, 2016 (UTC)

I agree with that. While Missy Grunt is arguably one of the few pre-made deceased illegitimate ancestors, if not the only one, we couldn't say that she is the only one, at least partially because of the reason Icemandeaf has provided. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:16, March 11, 2016 (UTC)

Edit warring[edit source]

I have protected the article for three days due to unnecessary edit warring regarding this Sim's illegitimate status. Rather than going back and forth on the article, the matter should be discussed here, on the talk page. One or two users have stated that she is the only deceased pre-made Sim that is illegitimate, but two more users have stated that this is most likely not the case. Please discuss this matter in a mature and calm manner. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:12, March 12, 2016 (UTC)

She is'nt the only illegittimate dead sim, Flamenco Caliente, the three Birth Queens in PT9's family tree, and the Colony Drone 65535 are all illegittimate. Of course they were conceived through alien technology instead of premarital sex, but in the family tree they're shown as being illegittimate children. Other than Missy, the other two illegittimate sims known to have been conceived through premarital sex instead of alien technology or Grim Reaper necromancy, are Tiara Angelista and Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes. Kaiko Mikkusu (talk) 12:06, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
There's Flamenco Caliente that's a deceased pre-made Sim that's 'illegittimate. The statement in the article should be removed IMO. Jadd.H (talk) 13:12, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
I agree that it is erroneous to say that Missy is the only illegitimate Sim in the series (or even in Strangtown) just as stated by others above. She is, however, the only one that has it as a part of her bio (as far as I remember). That is the reason I went for the change of saying:
Her bio states that she is the "love" child of Mike Steel and Mary Melons. This makes Missy possibly the only pre-made Sim that is treated as an illegitimate in The Sims 2.
How does everyone feel about that statement? -- Icemandeaf (talk) 16:07, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
She doesn't even have a bio.. Or am I missing something here?. Jadd.H (talk) 16:27, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
Hmm... She doesn't? Then I am not sure where I got the fact that she is a "love" child from. I'm off to do some digging in Strangetown to find some answers. -- Icemandeaf (talk) 16:47, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
It's true that she doesn't actually have a bio, which leads me to question that that statement should be changed. Either way, I disagree with the claim that she's the only illegitimate deceased Sim. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 18:12, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
So where does this information of being a "love" child come from? I can't seem to find it in-game or SimPE. -- Icemandeaf (talk) 18:20, March 12, 2016 (UTC)
I'm not too sure to be honest. I certainly can't find any information in-game or SimPE that supports that statement. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 18:23, March 12, 2016 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────The only thing that I can find is that Missy has a line from each of her parents separately in the family tree rather than the lines being joined together. Of course Buzz and Lyla have the same thing in the family tree because they were divorced before Lyla died. I guess one could conjecture that because Mary Melons didn't take on her husband's name so that she became Mary Steel that they were never married. That is all that I could find, but I think this it is conjecture at most. -- Icemandeaf (talk) 18:46, March 12, 2016 (UTC)

The three day period has expired, and we seem to have reached a consensus that the information on the page should not be kept in it's current form. As a result I have changed it back to the way it was, but I have tweaked some sections to a more neutral description, and anyone is free to further edit the information, if they feel that my latest edit doesn't fully address what others have suggested above. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:55, March 15, 2016 (UTC)
