Did she get married to Malcolm around the end of the Get a Life Storyline? If so, that would mean Dudley and Mimi are her step-children.

Timeline[edit source]

The Sims Bustin' Out might be before The Sims (Console), that would explain that they had the children before marrying and they got married at the end. One example is the Goth Family, Mortimer Goth and Cassandra Goth were married but without a child in The Sims Bustin' Out, and they had Cassandra in The Sims (Console).--Link4039 18:12, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

But, in The Sims: Bustin' Out, it is said that she and Malcolm are divorced. And for Mortimer and Bella, I think it is an alternate story, and Cassandra grew up and moved out.

Maybe they were married and had Dudley and Mimi before Busting Out and then they divorced and then they remarried again at the end of The Sims (Console) and they moved out of SimsVille, that would explain why they didn't appear in The Sims for PC and they moved in again in The Sims 2 in Bluewater Village.--Link4039 17:12, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

In The Sims (Console), Dudley and Mimi are Malcolms offspring, so yes, after Malcolm and Mom get married by end of game, she becomes their Step-Mom. In The Sims Bustin' Out, both Malcolm and Mom are recently divorce, so Mom is no longer Dudley and Mimi's Step-Mom. I don't know why EA removed Bella and Mortimer's daughter, Cassandra from The Sims Bustin' Out. I'd previously assumed that she died and was buried by one of the tombstones in the backyard of Goth Manor. But your alternate perspective is quite enlightening. So I decided to create an older Cassandra Goth living in one of the Free Street homes in Free Play mode. Thanks for the idea. I also don't know why they brought her back; along with her little brother Alexander Goth as the Nielsen Family in Urbz: Sims in the City (GameBoy Advance), and in The Sims 2 as a child again; although I'm not complaining about it..?  ^_^    GloriousGamerGoddess 10:10, December 6, 2013 (UTC)

Not a Landgraab[edit source]

Mom gets married to Malcolm Landgraab (console) just before the final level of The Sims (console) and they're divorced at the beginning of The Sims Bustin' Out (console). For a short time (mostly in between the two games), she's a member of the Landgraab family and the stepmother of Malcolm's adult children, Mimi and Dudley. I hope this clears up her relationship with the Landgraab family. —Gvaudoin 💬 15:25, May 3, 2019 (UTC)

She is called Mom Landgraab in The Sims 4 gallery. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 17:46, May 28, 2019 (UTC)
I changed it back and included an infobox for The Sims 4. I guess the Gallery version is set between The Sims and Bustin' Out when Mom and Malcolm are still married. —Gvaudoin 💬 18:20, May 28, 2019 (UTC)
I wonder if it would be more consistent to keep the article as 'Mom'. I've noticed we usually keep the names of Sims from their original game appearances (Ex: Bella Goth, Betty Newbie). Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 18:27, May 28, 2019 (UTC)
I feel like Mom is a special case in many ways. Initially, Mom was her role in the game but also technically her name. I renamed the article not too long before the Sims 4 version was uploaded to the Gallery because up until now her name never actually was "Mom Landgraab". For Bella and Betty the Wiki uses their married names which are also the same names they had when they were first introduced in the original Sims game. But Mom was originally just Mom and also she got divorced. Maybe the article should be called "Mom" and start out with "Mom (formerly Landgraab)" the same way Betty Newbie's article starts with "Betty Newbie (née Simovitch)"? —Gvaudoin 💬 18:57, May 28, 2019 (UTC)

Eye colour in TS4[edit source]

imo her eyes are very clearly a shade of green and not hazel. —Gvaudoin 💬 19:21, May 28, 2019 (UTC)
Her eyes are actually an equal mix of green and hazel, which is exactly what hazel eyes are. Hazel eyes are very easy to confuse with green because of this. Mariaw (talk) 19:27, May 28, 2019 (UTC)
