About Split[edit source]

Hmm... the split hasn't yet been made, will this go on? Thank you. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 17:53, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

I've removed the template,a s I doubt anything will happen. Feel free to add it at a later date to restart this discussion. ~>ђ (Ŧlยttєгรђא ƒтω!) 09:14, July 31, 2011 (UTC)

Fire nannies?[edit source]

Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I've once hired a Nanny and it appears that she is lighting my house on fire, I noticed that when making food, the fire didn't start on the stove like it useually does, but instead, ON her. Later she was making my bed, and burst into flames, but it was as if she had no idea she was doing it. Other Sims reacted, but it never spread, anyone else seeing this glitch? —Preceding unsigned comment added by RandomnesGaming (talk) 17:46 September 17 2012 (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

I think that most nannies are pathetic at their job. From what I've heard Kendal Lawson is pretty good but I wouldn't know since I deleted all the pre-made nannies from my game. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 07:49, January 13, 2014 (UTC)
It kinda surprised me that you just realized they suck at their job. Torturing the nannies is a good way to spend your pastime. Nikel Talk Vote! 10:27, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
I sort of already knew. Torturing nannies is a good way to spend a pastime. But I think at the time I had other things I wanted to be doing with Sims. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:39, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
Nannies? I treat them as slaves. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:16, February 10, 2014 (UTC)
Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant had a baby, plus I got Daniel a new job so I had to hire a nanny. I got Kendal Lawson. Then Kaylynn just started fighting her! Plus the nanny stole the baby! 90.209.92.130 (talk) 11:29, February 14, 2015 (UTC)

Make Selectable[edit source]

Sometimes if you make a Nanny selectable (via BoolProp testingcheatsenabled) and then unselectable, she may sometimes forget her place and try to leave the lot. Stupid nanny. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:16, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

You mean while she's on the job? This happens to everyone; you should avoid making anyone selectable via testingcheatsenabled, actually. Using Inge's Teleporter Cat is safer and more harmless. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:36, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah. I haven't actually found this harmful, but I've encountered a similar problem when making Baristas selectable. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:04, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
Actually, it's not that it's harmful to your game or what. If you make NPCs selectable through testingcheatsenabled, the game won't recognize the Sim as an NPC temporarily. It means that if you make a nanny selectable, she will be considered a visiting Sim and then you'll need another nanny to hire. Using the teleporter cat prevents the game from not recognizing the NPCs. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:03, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
That is true. I've had a problem with Baristas that when you make them selectable, the game will automatically spawn a new one. Also if one makes a Sales-Clerk selectable then other Sims may try and interact with them which can distract them from their job. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 19:41, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Nannies in Life Stories[edit source]

Two of my nannies have recently left my toddler Sims at home alone, because the carpools apparently showed up at the wrong time. This could have been a result of my Sims getting promoted to a higher rank with different work hours, and the game didn't update the time the carpools were supposed to drop the nannies off and pick the nannies up. I'm not sure if that's the case, but it's the only explanation I can think of, other than that I have the InSimenator mod enabled. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 09:55, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, for some strange reason, in Life Stories, the carpool's been dropping the nannies off at 12:00 AM (what use is that, very few Sims work during that time.) and the carpool's been picking the nannies up at 8:00 AM. I have no idea why this keeps happening, but it's strange, and sometimes a bit annoying. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:28, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
