Elder Headshot[edit source]

When I looked at my sim's character data there was an elder headshot of her even though she was only an adult at the time. Does it mean my sims is glitchy or is it just normal? Chunkyheels (talk ) 19:47, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

Many deceased Sims in Veronaville have elder headshots in their data files despite only being adults. I wouldn't be too worried about any "glitchiness". Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 07:35, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
That's good. I was just worried because it was my Sim that I made but I'm glad she's not glitchy or anything :) Chunkyheels (talk ) 19:35, June 10, 2013 (UTC)

Sim3PE[edit source]

Is there a page for Sim3PE, and where do you get it, because I've heard nothing about it except from here?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Joey.eyeball (talkcontribs) 21:51, November 15, 2013 (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Well, this seems to be related to it. Beyond that, I don't know. Dharden (talk) 23:20, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
The correct name of the tool for The Sims 3 is "S3PE". And yeah, we don't seem to have a page that focuses on this tool at the moment. Nikel Talk Vote! 23:30, November 20, 2013 (UTC)

Package Editor or Expansion Pack[edit source]

When I first saw the title I thought SimPE must have been one of the Sims 2 expansion packs (I was still fairly new to the Sims at the time). I thought PE must have stood for Physical Education. When I saw the name in several pages on the wiki, I wanted to know why it could be used to remove death tokens etc. My question was answered at some point in late 2011 when I looked on the SimPE page. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 00:57, January 7, 2014 (UTC)

To me, it feels really great to learn something new. I was a curious cat when I was still new to the wiki. I still am, though. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:32, January 8, 2014 (UTC)

Release on Internet[edit source]

Does anyone know exactly when SimPE was released on the internet? C.Syde (talk | contribs) 09:04, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

September 24, 2008. It means... around Apartment Life? Resource. Nikel Talk Vote! 03:38, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
Nope - according to this, SimPE's been around since 2004. You're off by four years, Nikel. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 04:00, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
Yes, I did compare it with SimPE archives, but I only read the first entry "More BHAV Changes", but decided to go with SimsWiki instead. I guess I should've scrolled down further. :/ Nikel Talk Vote! 04:05, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
Actually, according to http://sims.ambertation.de/ , the final release was SimPE 0.73.44 QA, which was released on April 11th, 2009, and was updated for M&G. The September 2008 release was the update for AL. Dharden (talk) 18:43, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Memories[edit source]

For some reason on my computer, I can't access my Sim's memories because it says it can't read them. Does anyone have any ideas as to why that might be? C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:03, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

SimPE is pretty much unsupported, but you'll definitely find more help if you post at MTS instead of here. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 22:10, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

I've checked the operating systems of the computers I use. My computer operating system is Windows XP while the operating system of the computer I sometimes use in the holidays is Windows Vista. By the looks and/or sounds of things, Windows XP lacks the support to read the Memories of my Sims with SimPE unlike Windows Vista.

Sadly my computer operating system will need to be upgraded as it is - which includes the annoying process of transferring all the data on my Windows XP computer. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:01, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

Pictures[edit source]

I've seen photos people have taken with SimPE. So it can be used to take photos...right? I know it probably doesn't mean that I'd be able to take them the same way as in the game itself. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:45, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

What photos? K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 01:57, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Just photos of how the program is set up, like in the SimPE article page itself. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:42, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
You can use the Print Screen button on your keyboard and paste it to Paint. Or you could use screen clipping program that comes with Windows 7 or MS OneNote. Basically you can do this to any programs; not just SimPE. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:57, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
See this website for more details about taking screenshots. SimPE nor BodyShop have built-in camera functions, unlike the game itself. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 20:13, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
I think I understand now. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:44, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Load Game with SimPE[edit source]

What happens if you click the load game option in SimPE, when the disk is in the drive? In this case, it would be The Sims 2: Apartment Life. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:28, January 25, 2014 (UTC)

I tried that once, and it loaded my then most recent game (BV). Hovewer when I started it normally later (Launcher), it always crashed so I had to reinstall it. I don't know if this happens to everyone, but I'd recommend everyone to stay safe and don't try it. Mate1234 (Chatterbox...) 10:37, January 25, 2014 (UTC)

Compatibility with Windows 8[edit source]

It's a bit unclear whether SimPE is compatible with Windows 8 or not. We know, with some tweaking here and there, The Sims 2 can run on Windows 8. However, I've never really seen much on SimPE's compatibility with Microsoft's new absurd OS. I asked the question here but it wasn't a very descriptive answer. The only other useful thread about this is here. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 10:57, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

Help?[edit source]

SimPE doesn't work for me. I have The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. Anyone help? (Swedigimon (talk) 10:33, October 29, 2014 (UTC))

What operating system are you on? --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 10:34, October 29, 2014 (UTC)
That depends on what you mean by "doesn't work". If it won't even start, you will need to give more information, and may want to go to the Help Desk forum so more people will see your question. However, if it isn't showing your neighborhoods, Sims, etc, that's probably because it doesn't know where to look. Ultimate Collection uses a different folder layout, and SimPE doesn't recognize it, so you will have to go to the System Folders part of Extras -> Preferences and enter them manually. For example, SimPE expects the "Savegame" folder to end in The Sims 2 , but Ultimate Collection uses The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection -- note the TM symbol. Dharden (talk) 13:18, October 29, 2014 (UTC)
Well it does work now, but I don't know why it didn't work Before. But I can't edit memories, they're all invisible! (13:50, October 29, 2014 (UTC))—Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.254.11.25 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~
Information on editing memories in SimPE available here and here. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 14:06, October 29, 2014 (UTC)
I know how to edit the memories, but it's just blank for me. I can't change any, and the existing are either called invisible or doesn't show a name! (Swedigimon (talk) 11:38, October 31, 2014 (UTC))

S3PE[edit source]

How do you edit the names of Sims in S3PE? Does anyone explain? L2Gamer 00:52, October 17, 2019 (UTC)
