They have never given any specific year or timeline to when Sims is for all we know it could be in the year 4123. until they give any years to the game everything makes sense.

Not necessarily, she died as an Young Adult and Nancy is an Adult, so she must have died when Nancy was, say, anywhere from baby to the first 7 days of teen. And for why they still have computers during Nancy's childhood? Well, they may even not have them at all. For all we know, she purchased a "change my traits" lifetime reward, and became a Computer Whiz after dying. And the Landgraabs could have been the only family to have computers at the time... wanna know why? Time Travel, right. I once had a savegame where Nancy took two Time Lord kids to live with her, and became a "companion" of the girl twin. It crashed when the household consisted of: Nancy, Geoffrey, Malcolm, Kaylinn Langerak (Malcom's girlfriend), Tamara Donner (who started off as one of Geoffrey's opportunity friendships, but soon became his fianceè), and said two kid Time Lord twins.
And i do not think it takes place in around 4125, because then, what are Lunar Lakes and Oasis Landing? 8655 and 14900 respectively? And what about the stuff mentioning the Victorian Era (Clavell\Andrews\Hart live in the Victorian part of Sunset Valley) or stuff mentioning references to the 1980's and other years such as an advanced computer that would not take over the world by 2012? And how Sunset Valley is not much different than your average Californian town in the late 20th century, including fashions (how they dress) and other stuff? I think TS2 (Pleasantwiew) is set in 2015, TS1 in 1990, TS3 (Sunset Valley) in 1965, Lunar Lakes is set in 2070, Oasis Landing is set in 4070, TSMedieval is set in 960, and Dragon Valley is set in 1060 (Except for the Burb's, they were from 2002, but something happened and teleported them into the past.) and let's say Nancy is 45 years old. We do not know the age Nancy was when her mother died, because TS3 base game does not have memories. Let's assume that at the time of Queenie's death, Queenie was 38 years old, and Nancy was 12 years old. She would have died around 33 years ago, in 1932. - Really? You think TS2 takes place in 2015? I always thought The Sims 3 took place in 2009 because of when it came out, but I like your theory that it's like that. Very interesting. DarkSuicune2000 23:09, August 22, 2015 (UTC)
