Problems resurrecting premade ancestors[edit source]

Ive read some stories about resurrecting people with this object, but whenever i try to use it, it says that theres no one who died on the lot :( I tries it with the Goth's and the Specter's, and once with the Broke's, and i couldnt resurrect anyone :( Gyromite 18:56, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi,

Your problem may be that they are either unlinked or have no character data. Sims with no character data cannot be resurrected in game but unlink sims can be relink easily.

For what it's worth...[edit source]

I used it to resurrect a cat whose grave was an urn. It was on the ground and on the lot, and while I don't know if that made a difference, it did work with a grave that was not a stone. Dharden (talk) 13:56, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Phantom gravestones on community lots?[edit source]

After resurrecting a Sim whose grave had been moved to a community lot, I entered that lot from the neighborhood view, and noticed that there was a gravestone for her. It seemed odd because it doesn't show when I send a Sim there in Live Mode, but I could grab it. When I did, it said "Here lies NAME" and gave me the option to sell the stone. Has anyone else noticed this, and is it anything I need to be concerned about? Dharden (talk) 19:07, November 10, 2012 (UTC)

Well, the Sim finally died a second time, and when I checked the community lot that had the "phantom gravestone", it was gone. Dharden (talk) 01:48, January 30, 2013 (UTC)
  • Hey Dharden!

Question died it say something like remains or here lies subject? if so have you moved the gravestone/urn around in a sims inventory because if you have it can cause sims character data to disappear your sim may have lost their character data.

FWIW, I use Pescado's nounlinkondelete. The new urn is perfectly normal, says "Here lies NAME", the whole thing. I haven't moved it yet. If there'd been a problem with the original stone, I probably wouldn't have been able to resurrect the Sim. Dharden (talk) 03:48, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Hello and goodbye ancestors[edit source]

I have been uninstalling and reinstalling my Sims2 game several times. Now I played the game again only with Nightlife and University installed. I went to Capp Manor once again, and used UnlockCareerRewards since I always resurrect Contessa and the parents of the teens when I play again. Now, I had Consort using the Resurrect-O-Nomitron. Normally when you do this with him, only Cordelia and Contessa are available to be resurrected. However, when I tried it, there suddenly also was the option to resurrect the four of his ancestors who normally can be made seen with the Tombstone of L&D, but not possibly resurrected. So, I brought them back to life and killed them off to place their graves on the lot. After I added the other expansion packs, I came back to the lot, but when trying again Consort or anyone else did not have the option available to resurrect one of those four although their graves still were on the lot. How did this happen? You can normally only bring them back physically when using SimPE or something like that, but I never ever messed with the game data. AldeaMalvada (talk) 18:27, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not sure how you managed to do this, however this is what is supposed to go down when trying to resurrect them using "in-game" methods. Tybalt, Hermia, and Juliet are able to resurrect Cordelia, Calbian, and Contessa. Consort is only able to resurrect Cordelia and Contessa. If you choose to resurrect Contessa, she will be able to resurrect her parents (Scribonia and Octavius) and her grandparents (Cleopatra, Antony, Calpurnia, and Julius).
