Robert Crumplebottom's name in The Sims 3

Problem: in The Sims 3, his name is not "Robert Crumplebottom" but "Erik Darling"... Aster09 20:44, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

wow! so much new info so fast!Thnkx for sahring your discoveries. Ok. first off,we should probably make major changes, such as that when the game is released 4 days from now. In order to prevent confusion or agtrument. who knows the released game could have some major changes than the copy you have. New Theory

KazeNoYouko - Atrum Dies, Atrum Noctis TALK - Keeping up with the Goths WHAT IF Robert Crumplebottom was the husband of the TS2 Mrs. Crumplebottom, and Elmira Clamp was their daughter, and somehow that made Elmira the niece of one of the Crumplebottoms. Maybe Robert is Prudence's brother. This is just a theory I came up with :)

He is not Agnes's husband in The Sims 3

Check the family tree. Erik Darling IS (was) her husband, but Robert is still in the game. Not sure how to make sense of this, though. Maybe he was revived sometime between the sims 3 and the sims 2 and then they got married?

Theory: He is in fact a possible son or future offspring of Agnes Crumplebottom.

My theory is that Robert Crumplebottom is a future decendant of Agnes Crumplebottom, possibly by adoption and/or getting pregnant by a one night stand, as she was never able to find love. And that's how the Crumplebottom legacy was set to continue... Robert married the Mrs. Crumplebottom from the Sims 2, hence why she has the 'Mrs.' in  her name, and that's why it said she idolized Miss Crumplebottom from the Sims 1, who is grumpy Agnes Crumplebottom. That's probably why Robert is not mentioned, he must have moved away from his mother, or considering it was The Sims, much thought was not put into showing him since Miss Crumplebottom is an NPC. But that might explain some of it. This is all taken into account with the timeline of The Sims 3, The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 4's "Alternate Timeline."
