Death of old age as adults[edit source]

How did she and her husband die of old age as adults? Or are we suppose to assume the Veronavillians were all murdered or something? Kaiko Mikkusu (talk) 08:03, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

It remains unknown exactly how they died of old age as adults but it could be just a developer oversight. Or perhaps the fighting between the Capps and Montys resulted in the deaths of several of their family members.
Again, it remains unknown exactly how Scribonia and Octavius died, but it could be that their 'deaths from old age' are just supposed to represent that they died of an unknown cause. Since Ghosts that die of old age do not cry about the thing that killed them like the other ghosts do. So it could be that they were supposed to have died from an unknown cause. Unless I'm very much mistaken, all Sims who die of old age do is float around (and sometimes scare Sims if they get too close). -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:15, September 4, 2014 (UTC)
Yup, Murphy Beds and Wishing Wells can also make white ghosts, so maybe they died through that. Also, Michael Bachelor has an old-age ghost too, and some people say he was murdered, so... Kaiko Mikkusu (talk) 08:19, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
That piece of information dated back to December 29, 2012. It was originally said she was starved to death, but it was changed. Nobody can make sure the validity of the information, however.
By the way Kaiko, you know it's impossible that wishing well and murphy bed death occur to Scribonia. Besides, these deaths should have the same color as hunger ghost, as it's the default ghost color of unspecified death ghost color. Nikel Talk Vote! 12:38, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
So Scribonia died - along with other ancestors - of starvation if the old age ghost is the same as the starvation one, well but it's more likely an oversight by the developers91.144.52.18 (talk) 11:23, November 12, 2014 (UTC)
The old age ghost and starvation ghost have different colors. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:32, November 13, 2014 (UTC)

I know that this discussion dried up almost a year before, but if anyone could answer that would be great. The last time I checked, both the starvation and old age ghosts had the same ghost colour - white. They differ only in their behaviours. Sims that died of starvation frequently visit the fridge, while Sims that died of old age don't have any distinctive behaviours, except they are less likely to be unquiet.

If Scribonia and Octavius don't visit the fridge then the odds are that they died of old age. They could just have died from an unspecified cause, but there's almost, if not, no difference between unspecified ghosts, and ghosts that died from old age. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:39, October 28, 2015 (UTC)

Scribonia and Octavius surely died of old age, due to the fact, that they don't raid the fridge, stealing food from it, neither they complain about starvation, when the fridge is deleted or put into someone's inventory. Scribonia (talk) 20:45, October 28, 2015 (UTC)
True. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:41, October 29, 2015 (UTC)
I really hate how the creators just threw TS2 with all of its glitches and mistakes to the public and got us confused of all those stuff. Well maybe storywise they had some sort of weird death that is impossible to get in-game so they are old age ghosts because it's the death that almost all of ancestors in-game with graves died with and enough to be classified as the main death? Or putting into real-life standards they are from the second generation of a 5 generation family. If TS2 is set in the present, if a family that traces only 5 generations dates back to its second generation it would probably date back to.. well.. well.. wait for it................ '1870'. Or probably a gap between 1870 and 1900. And even much more earlier. And if you didn't know that by now people died much more younger earlier because of health neglect, low medical care and etc.. so if Scribonia and Octavious died game-wise at least 3 sim days earlier than elderhood that would have been considered death of old age in the standards back then and would've probably been considered elders realistically. And for Cleopatra and earlier ancestors we could have at least said they lived a really little part of elderhood enough to let their hair go gray and game-wise, to be classified as elders. I've recently done a side by side comparison between two Sims which I made that were identical, and made one of them die of starvation, the other of old age. I summoned their ghosts using the InSimenator, and Nikel was actually correct in saying that their ghost colours are different. Sims who died of old age appear white as ghosts, while Sims who died of starvation appear pale blue. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:28, March 24, 2016 (UTC)

Teeth[edit source]

Has anybody noticed that Scribonia, like her mother has a weird facial glitch? I noticed today when playing around with her in CAS that she has really large teeth. I think this is a glitch, but her teeth are misshapen. I especially noticed this when I changes her gender, as the male version of her has larger teeth that can be seen when his mouth is closed. Øôppdëckš 21:32, October 27, 2015 (UTC)

I've just checked in BodyShop by changing Scribonia's gender to male, but I can't see the prominent teeth she has, unless I significantly shrink the size of the lower lip. I will check in-game at some point, in Create a Sim to see if I can see the prominent teeth that her male duplicate has if he smiles etc.
I will check at some point, since Create a Sim is more reliable for this purpose, as you can play around with the actual genetics in Create a Sim, and the Sims move and change expressions, whereas in BodyShop you can't play around with the genetics, and the Sims in BodyShop do not move or change expressions. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:35, October 28, 2015 (UTC)
I think that checking her teeth in CAS is the key. I used the SavedSims.rar file so I may be mistaken, Øôppdëckš 07:13, October 28, 2015 (UTC)
I've just checked in Create a Sim, and yes the teeth are very prominent if the player switches Scribonia's gender in Create a Sim. The glitchiness can be seen with her mouth shut but even more so with the mouth open.
I should re-check the next time I load the Sims 2, to see if there's any glitchiness on the children that inherit her facial features. I know that if Cleopatra and Calpurnia have any children that are female, their mouths will be on their foreheads when they become adults. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:37, January 2, 2016 (UTC)
