Patch name[edit source]
I gave the first patch the name of "Patch one" since I don't know what number EA gave to its patches this time around. Someone with the game, can you please see if there is any information about what the patch is named? -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 02:16, September 2, 2014 (UTC)
- Good point. As far as I can tell by the 2nd patch, there's no indication that EA name their patch this time. The version looks arbitrary, and we still don't know what the second integer is meant for. The patch for The Sims 4 is automatically updated via Origin. As there's no more manual patching, versioning like in The Sims 3 patching doesn't seem to matter this time (because no one can tell if you have the umpteenth patch). How about we name it with the whole version, like Patch 1.0.671.10? Nikel Talk – Vote! 10:24, September 9, 2014 (UTC)
- They've released their third patch today (here). The game version is now 1.0.677.20. I think giving the whole version number would be overkill... maybe we should continue to give them sequential numbers? Where is patch 31 notes?[edit source]
