Conflict With Toddler Article[edit source]

This article states that "While toddlers do not need to learn these skills to grow up well, they do not affect the Sims in later life." First of all, that is incredibly poorly worded, but I'll just correct that in a moment.

The larger problem is that this statement directly contradicts the Toddler article. "In order for The Sims 3 Toddlers to age well and to allow the player to choose the new child's traits, the toddler must be taught to walk, talk, and be potty trained." When one of my families has had a toddler, I've always made sure they learned all the skills, so I can't really say which statement is true.

If somebody who is sure which version is correct would either edit the appropriate article, that would be great. Or just post on this talk page and I can edit it, if that would be easier. No reason to allow an interarticle contradiction like this to persist when it's so easy to correct. - Honeybunch 21:34, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

That part of the article may need to separate information for The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. In The Sims 2, "growing up well" means growing up in gold or platinum aspiration. In The Sims 2, toddlers can grow up well even if they don't learn those skills, though learning them certainly helps. Also in The Sims 2, not learning them as toddlers has no effect on a Sim's later life. Dharden (talk) 00:22, May 26, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, thanks for clearing that up for me, and for adding it to the article. Honestly, after bringing this up on the talk page I kind of forgot about the issue, so I'm glad you were so on top of it. It would have probably taken until now for the correct information to be added in, otherwise. --Honeybunch 20:46, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
