Should there be a seperate article/section for each of the Wolff family?[edit source]

Just wanted to ask if it's a good idea or not since some may be disagreeing with me. So here's the thing: There are two different families of the same name in Sunset Valley as well as Moonlight Falls. Both families' relations are unconfirmed and pretty much left vague. It's quite possible that they are separate families since they seems to have different heritages.

Should the article be split up into Wolff family (Sunset Valley) and Wolff family (Moonlight Falls) or just split them into separate sections or just leave them be?

P.S. I don't know if the same should go for Crumplebottom family (Moonlight Falls). EpicJoyBoy (talk) 11:42, June 24, 2013 (UTC)

You're right - there's really no connection between them except the name. Unless anyone would like to vehemently oppose splitting the articles, then I don't see why not. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 13:05, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
Splitting the articles seem to be the best bet, in my point of view anyway. Beds (parlare) (da leggere) 13:10, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
I agree for splitting the article. The Wolffs don't seem to be related in any way. I don't think it the same would go for Crumplebottom though, because the Crumplebottoms are notable enough to be considered "returning." The Wolff of Sunset Valley could be forgettable though. There is a connection between the two families, the article should not be splited up :

The families of Moonlight Falls are not directly taken from other games, but they do have family ties to several important Sims families. The Goths, Crumplebottoms and Wolffs all have offshoots in Moonlight Falls, to name a few.

Nice find, Aster! With that proof, I'm inclined to merge the families back again. Nikel Talk Vote! 07:59, July 20, 2013 (UTC)
Nice find. I've always thought of the Wolff families being separate due to the fact they seems to be so much different. So yeah, I agree, move the articles back (Even though I was the one who proposed this), and maybe add a few new infos so that people won't get confused off. I've tagged the article to attract the discussion. Nikel Talk Vote! 04:38, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
Plus, what about Doreen Caliente, she is still Caliente family right? AKA related to the twins Dina and Nina? (Not that she is their mother- more like aunt\great-aunt or something.)
And not only Wolff is not a very common surname, but the two families have similiar genetics. If the Moonlight Falls!Wolff's were black, or had exotic-looking features such as technicolor skin and pointy ears, or else did not look related, we would have to split up.
And for Thornton not being a werewolf... maybe he was born one, but he got cured. 78.15.43.130 (talk) 21:42, January 27, 2014 (UTC)
Technical points are never enough to prove if a Sim is related to another (e.g. similar appearance). Everything could be just a coincidence. It needs a concrete, written evidence that suggests they're really related. For example, Bert Alto is related to the Alto family because it's clearly stated in his bio. The Mango family as well. The Wolff family is suggested in one of the developer's blogs, which could be considered official. Doreen Caliente, however, has no concrete evidence. Her identical surname could be merely a coincidence. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:13, January 30, 2014 (UTC)
  • Yup, but the two Caliente families (Doreen\Serena\Zoe\Zack and Nina\Dina) do not look alike (The first ones are clearly Caucasian, with Serena being a platinum blonde, the twins being strawberry blondes, and Doreen having bleached orange hair (naturally brownish\auburn). The second ones are mixed race Hispanic\Arab (Moroccan?) with their dad also being the result of an alien abduction. Nina's hair is a warm auburn-red (different from Doreen's), and Dina's hair is a goopy-ish fake-looking yellow, so not the same hair as Serena. And who's to say that "Caliente" is not just a common last name in SimLand. Or maybe Doreen was married to Nestor or Tango, then divorced and kept the surname, and also had a kid outside marriage (Serena), so when Doreen divorced, she was still Doreen Caliente because of marriage, and Serena was a toddler who was not surnamed Caliente and was not related to the Caliente Family in any way as she was born out of marriage.  We do not know who Serena s' father is, but Doreen does not have to be born a Caliente. Let's say that Thornton and Morgana are the "Lone Wolff Branch" of the Wolff family\clan, and Pappy & co. are the main branch. Pappy may have had a brother named Lone Wolff, then Lone Wolff decided he did not want to be a werewolf anymore, and so packed up and moved down to Sunset Valley, became a doctor, and built the Lone Wolff manor. He soon met some chick with the Neurotic trait and early-graying black hair. They soon married, she took his last name, but they actually did not get along and only married because Lone thought it would have been the proper thing to do - unlike his brother Pappy who just got pregnant some werewolf lady, and when said werewolf lady gave birth to Dwayne, Pappy took Dwayne with him and mauled Dwayne's mother right after that. Soon after that, neuro chick got pregnant and gave birth to Thornton. Thornton looked up to his father but hated his mother. Lone and neurochick got divorced the day of Thornton's teen birthday, and neurochick ran away and was not seen again by anybody. In high school both Jamie and Morgana had crushes on Thornton. Thorton loved Jamie but she was too "poor-class" for him, while Morgana was rich but Thorton was not actually in love with her. But Thornton trought it was more proper to marry the rich one whose family was all posh and she was all coordinated. Thornton slowly realized his crush on Jamie was stronger than proper rules. So the two of them divorced (they prolly already had a kid by then or Morgana was pregnant) and some days later, Jamie Jolina left a broken-hearted Chris Steel in favor of becoming Jamie Wolff. Chris moved to Strangetown to be with his first cousin Missy, as there was no water there, he joined the Strangetownian police force, found a wife, when they moved into Lucky Palms, Chris's wife was pregnant & they had Donnovan. In the meanwhile, Thornton's kid with Morgana was in the child stage, and shared Morgana's maiden name. Thornton did not get Jamie pregnant, so now the only kid Thornton had, shared a different last name. Said kid might have had kids and secretly be a character in someone's family tree or Olive's graveyard, but most propably said offspring decided to be childfree forever and is 20-years-old as of TS1, and 45-years-old as of TS2. 78.15.34.117 (talk) 10:12, May 24, 2014 (UTC)
