This is a dupe, the info in this article must be mixed in with Zombies and this page deleted.

ToaBionicle 21:23, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Instead of deleting it, I redirected it. Seems like a better idea since more pages link to Zombie then Zombies, however I felt Zombies was the better title of the two. Makiah (talk) 21:49, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

This article is misleading, it says Zombies are only available in Sims 2 onwards. They're available in the First Sims for the PS2 aswell. They come back in a full bright green colour. (even clothes)

The Zombie On The Sims Livin it Up Cover?[edit source]

I don't know if you have seen it but one day when I was about 7 years old, I was like "Lalal"playing on the Sims deuluex and suddenly the Zombie dude comes and walks around my lot, not acctually going inside. And the time before that happened, the weird creator of the zombie, stole my toster!!

Have you seen it?

PinkSims51 06:34, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

I think the "zombie" on that cover is the monster that results from one of the potions made with the chemistry set. Dharden 21:23, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
I got the zombie thing too! It looks like a frankenstein, doesn't it? He died of electrocation. 90.218.98.25 (talk) 22:12, November 6, 2014 (UTC)

Return of the undead[edit source]

i hope they soon will apear in sims 3...

It's possible. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 20:12, April 29, 2011 (UTC)

Question[edit source]

I was just wondering: are the zombies in every neighborhood different? Because in my Moonlight Falls, the Younans and the Summerdreams and the Beans are zombies. So is Audrey Oveicado or something like that. Does anyone else have them as zombies, or do they just randomly zombify people?

96.253.201.36 (talk) 20:09, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

People are randomly selected for zombification every full moon. This will happen in any neighborhood, as long as Supernatural is installed. In fact, it will even occur while Sims are on vacation (with World Adventures), which can be quite the problem if they left all their cure potions at home and can't normalize their quest giver. -- Lexmechanic (talk) 17:50, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

Zombie protection? (Sims 3 Supernatural)[edit source]

I love the idea of zombies swarming outside a house, and having to defend it. If you don't have peashooters, or enough alchemy skill, is there something you can do to stop the living dead getting into your home? I wondered if you could barricade doors (to the same effect, you could surround the doors with furniture), or perhaps zombies can't use secret bookshelves or hidden tomb doors?

78.149.15.77 (talk) 01:14, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the truth isn't so dramatic. Zombies cannot enter your home uninvited. Staying indoors is the simplest and most effective defense. The greater danger is that of losing your garden, since zombies are omnivores who enjoy the texture of leafy plants and fleshy people alike. Even so, protecting your garden isn't difficult either. The dense root system of a tightly packed garden will confound any zombie's attempt to tunnel in. Build a fence around the garden to keep them from walking in above ground. Be sure to lock the gate. -- Lexmechanic (talk) 17:48, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
I wonder if they could eat plants inside a pot too? Come to think of it, I suppose they referenced the zombies from Plants VS Zombies, which is kind of disappointing... But hey, luckily they didn't include Zomboni or Catapult Zombies that could run over the house flat! Nikel Talk Vote! 04:21, November 18, 2012 (UTC)

Two quick question can a Mummy,Vampire, Werewolf,Simbot,Genie and witch be turned into a zombie. Also how exactly does a sim get infected?[edit source]

I wish to know how a sim gets infected and can a zombie infect genie, simbot, werewolf, witch, mummy and vampire.(176.251.84.93 (talk) 19:46, September 13, 2012 (UTC))?

Brain Freeze snack[edit source]

I read an interesting note that eating the brain freeze snack that comes with Supernatural has a 50% chance that will turn Sims into a zombie and 10% chance that will turn them permanently, after the moodlet expires. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:21, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

Alien/Zombie interaction[edit source]

I saw a zombie attempt to attack an alien last night. The alien kinda giggled and acted like a little schoolgirl and then just playfully mimiced the zombies attack and then the zombie walked away. Anyone else seen this? 96.231.12.28 (talk) 05:38, November 17, 2012 (UTC)Teh_Couch

The zombies trying to destroy garden plants is probably a reference to Plant vs Zombies, especially since Zombies will attack a peashotter over any other plant and peashotter is the main offensive plant in plants vs zombies

Zombies are fully playable creatures. We can play our active sims as permanent zombies. We can make permanent zombies in the game.

Zombies not fully playable?!?[edit source]

OK, rather than going "are not", "are too" in Life state, lets lay it out. That the Cure Elixir cures Toadification, Zombification and transformation into a Tragic Clown, while the Potent Cure Elixir does that and also cures any occult life state, indicates that Zombie is not considered an occult life state. It appears that Zombification is usually temporary, though either a successful Reanimation Ritual or Potent Zombification is permanent. I can find no suggestion that either Potent Zombification or the Reanimation Ritual cannot be cured by the basic Cure Elixir; but also no direct statement that they can. I see no reason to think that an active Sim who becomes zombified would not remain active, but it appears that zombification does not change the active/inactive status of a Sim. In any event, that appears to be a separate issue from occult status, considering that aliens are not occult. Comments? Dharden (talk) 20:41, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
List of Moodlets/Activities#Occult indicates that there are two Zombified! moodlets. One lasts 2 days, one has no set duration. Actual occult life states do not appear to have associated moodlets, except for the "Werewolf!" moodlet, which appears to be associated with the werewolf transformation, not the life state as such. Zombie Death[edit source]

In The Sims 2: University, can zombies die? Are they immune to death because they shouldn't die. They are already dead, right? I'm just curious to know. Someone please reply soon :) Joey.eyeball (talk) 08:09, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

I don't recall if zombies have any special immunity. It makes sense if zombies will die from being incinerated, drowning, or getting electrocuted. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:25, October 14, 2013 (UTC)
It would be weird to see their ghost. I wonder if they limp or float. Joey.eyeball (talk) 08:40, October 14, 2013 (UTC)
Probably they'd float, as ghost has higher priority state than being a zombie. Then again, I've actually never had a dead zombie in my game, so it was just my speculation. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:21, October 14, 2013 (UTC)
Zombies in The Sims 2 are incompletely resurrected Sims, so they are no longer dead. That being so, it makes sense that they could die (again), they just can't die of old age. AFAIK, they have to eat, so I would suppose they're subject to starvation and other deaths that result from hunger depletion. I would expect that they could burn to death, be killed by a satellite, or be eaten by a Cowplant -- though whether a Cowplant would eat one is another question. Caveat: zombies do not appeal to me, and I have never had one in my game. Dharden (talk) 13:47, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

Pre-made Zombies[edit source]

Are their any pre-made zombies in The Sims 3? Joey.eyeball (talk) 03:38, December 8, 2013 (UTC)

No. Besides, zombie isn't a real life state in The Sims 3. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:13, December 8, 2013 (UTC)
Ok. I was hoping to find those wrecked and torn clothing that zombies always wore in promotional images. Joey.eyeball (talk) 18:44, December 8, 2013 (UTC)

Pleasure aspiration desperation[edit source]

I remove this part,

If a Pleasure Sim zombie is in aspiration depression, they don't tend to dance with a lantern on their head. They just swing their neck around and groan.

because zombies will just animate normally when they have aspiration desperation. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:10, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

Curing Zombies[edit source]

How do you cure zombies with SimPE? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:25, January 4, 2014 (UTC)

I don't think it's as simple as untick a "zombie flag" or such. I'd recommend you use this mod, the Sim Transformer. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:37, January 8, 2014 (UTC)

But according to the zombie page, SimPE can be used to cure zombies. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:00, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

I guess back then, the conceptions that "anything can be fixed with SimPE" were very common, especially when many people weren't familiar with it yet. I have not a single idea how to cure any life state status with SimPE. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:51, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

I may consider downloading that mod as long as it doesn't corrupt my game. I might have to try downloading it on a different computer first. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:41, January 10, 2014 (UTC)

If zombies get a special NPC type, as Servos do, SimPE could be used to reset that to the x0000 type used by normal Sims. I'm not a fan of zombies and don't have my Sims create them, so I don't know if they get a special NPC type, or what effect resetting it would have. If they don't get a special NPC type, or if resetting it isn't enough, I would suspect that curing zombies with SimPE would require advanced knowledge, if it's possible at all. Dharden (talk) 14:57, January 10, 2014 (UTC)
C.Syde, the mod I mentioned is an object mod, which means it's a custom object that has special functionality. Nothing will happen to your game if you don't use it... Besides, all it does is only to turn your Sim's life state. Nothing dangerous.
Life state isn't handled by NPC type box. Servo and Bigfoot has NPC codes of their own (0028 and 0036, respectively), but I guess it's because they're supposed to function like an NPC at some point. For example, the Bigfoot in Hidden Burrows should theoretically have NPC type of 0036, but once they move in, the NPC type is reset to 0000. This is just my theory. I don't entirely understand SimPE stuff. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:06, January 10, 2014 (UTC)
I didn't know that about Bigfoot, but BV is one of the two EPs I don't have. I always assumed Servo had an NPC type because of the autonomous "do chores" feature, so thought that zombies might have one because of things such as the way they walk. However, according to this list, which seems pretty comprehensive, they do not. Dharden (talk) 17:01, January 10, 2014 (UTC)

I've tried to download it, but I'm not sure it has worked. I tried to download it again but the download button isn't there. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:03, January 10, 2014 (UTC)

You need to sign up in order to download on MTS. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:32, January 11, 2014 (UTC)
I forgot to mention that I already had signed up. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:24, January 12, 2014 (UTC)

Zombie Clothing[edit source]

I had asked an earlier question on this page about any pre-made zombies in The Sims 3 and the reason was because I wanted to find some rugged, ripped and dirty zombie clothing that you always see in promotional images like this, this and this. So, where do I find some? Joey.eyeball (talk) 07:26, January 17, 2014 (UTC)

The clothes on the third screenshot are in the game. Look it up in CAS. The shirts and pants are from Supernatural, and the shoes are from the base game. I'm not sure which clothes you're referring to on the second screenshot, but I think those are CASt-ed. I don't think I've ever seen the bathrobe on the first screenshot. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:03, January 17, 2014 (UTC)
I'm mostly referring to how the clothes look dirty in the second screenshot, because there was a fabric in leathers on CAS that did that but I want a more rugged look like the first screenshot. Joey.eyeball (talk) 21:40, January 17, 2014 (UTC)
I never really paid attention to something like patterns. I'm not quite sure how to make the clothes look dirty like that. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:41, January 18, 2014 (UTC)
Well there is a leather in CAS that can be used to make colours in the misc category appear dirty looking. Yet sadly it doesn't work with geometric, themed, or any other category. Joey.eyeball (talk) 20:30, January 18, 2014 (UTC)

Do the lunar cycles influence when zombies show up?[edit source]

I have two saves, one in Sunset Valley and one in Moonlight Falls. Both of them are the Goth households in each neighbourhood. In Sunset Valley, I haven't seen a single zombie at all. But in Moonlight Falls, my yard is full of them. Townie sims are dying of old age on my lot. I'm getting notifications of a sim from the neighbourhood dying in a pool that I haven't even got - this sim has dissappeared from the neighbourhood entirely. I can't find his grave. There are no supernatural sims on the SV Goth lot yet, but I'm worried that if I add one there will be mass zombie attacks. The next generation's story does involve a supenatural sim or two.

So is there a moon phase or something, where they don't show up? Or do supernaturals encourage it? It took nearly 10 days until zombies turned up on the MF Goth lot, and now it's every night. On that lot, there are five ghosts and one fairy. WayfinderOwl (talk) 23:19, March 25, 2014 (UTC)

Aside from witch's spell, the only way for a zombie to spawn is when it's full moon, and nothing else that I know of. I've never heard that the appearance of supernatural creatures would increase the chance of zombies appearing, and I doubt they will. Zombies just appear normally in my game, though they're usually just ignored anyway. You can add zombies to your game with testingcheatsenabled > shift + click the mailbox > add zombies. Or, if you want to experiment, you could try changing your lunar cycle option so that it will be full moon every day, and see what happens.
I'm not sure what the dying old townies have to do with this topic actually. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:05, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
The townies show up as zombies, then die of old age. It seems in my game, that they are showing up every moon cycle. No matter what it is. I have tried setting it to 'New Moon' all the time, hoping that it will make them go away, but no luck. I don't want to add the zombies, I want them to go away. They are all over Moonlight Falls, even during the day. WayfinderOwl (talk) 17:53, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
Oh, I think I've misunderstood your message. I thought you wanted them. In that case, you can also remove zombies with the same cheat on the mailbox. But I take it that these zombies keep appearing? Is your game patched to the latest version? This was an issue when Supernatural was released, and has been fixed in its subsequent patch. Or, if you have patched, is that an old save, which has already been played before you had Supernatural? Nikel Talk Vote! 18:13, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
I don't have a patch. The file is new, because I made it after installing Supernatural. On the laptop I use to play doesn't have internet, so I guess I'll somehow have to learn to put up with them. :( I don't use cheats either, so I guess they will continue to spawn. Thanks for the answers, anyway. WayfinderOwl (talk) 18:41, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

Cure Zombies Again[edit source]

I still haven't downloaded that mod listed above. I'm going to have my computer upgraded first.

But I've examined the character file of a Sim whose zombiism I want cured, and I've found his current skin tone code - b6ee1dbc-5bb3-4146-8315-02bd64eda707 - the 'zombie' skin tone. I was wondering whether I should replace the code with the genetic skin tone so that he will no longer look like a zombie.

I'm not entirely sure, but I have a feeling I may be getting closer to finding a way to cure zombiism with SimPE.

I'm looking in the resource list and the information I've mentioned above is in one of the 'property set' cpf editor files. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:17, August 1, 2014 (UTC)

How about this tutorial? Do you think I should try it? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:39, August 1, 2014 (UTC)

Yes. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 10:58, August 1, 2014 (UTC)
I've just tried it, and yes my Sims are now cured of zombiism. They still tend to shamble like Zombies (and I'm going to try and find a way to cure that at some point) but they don't have the zombie skin tone, and they've stopped groaning. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:31, August 1, 2014 (UTC)

Will they return to Normal?[edit source]

The random sims which suddenly become zombies, will they return to normal when the full moon is over? --Rizkirafu (talk) 02:31, October 14, 2015 (UTC)

It's been a while since I've played the Sims 3, (darn that stupid error code thing), but if I recall correctly, and I'm pretty sure I have recalled correctly, the Sims that randomly become zombies will return to normal after the next day or so. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:28, October 14, 2015 (UTC)

Child zombies[edit source]

They actually exist in The Sims Livin' Large. If a child sim dies by anything other than drowning, they can be plead to be brought back just like adults, and if the pleader loses there is a chance the child will come back as a zombie, too. -- Ryo205 04:08, October 20, 2019 (UTC)
