This criteria applies to files that are duplicates of existing files, or are lower-quality versions of a file where a better version already exists and where both files are in a different format.. See CSD F1.

Description[edit source]

This template is used to tag files for speedy deletion as being a redundant copy of an existing file. See F1.

Usage[edit source]

Simply add {{Speedydelete - redundant file|file=name of file that is being duplicated, without the "File:" prefix}} to the page to tag it. The following parameters are available:

  • rationale - Used to add additional reasoning/explanation to your nomination.
  • nocat - Disables the category-adding functionality. Used on help/test pages.
  • file - Specify the name of the file that is being duplicated here. Exclude the "File:" prefix. For example, {{Speedydelete - redundant file|file=Example.jpg}} is correct, while {{Speedydelete - redundant file|file=File:Example.jpg}} is not.
