Description

This template is used to create editnotices. Although it is not technically required for the creation of editnotices, it is specifically designed to be used with editnotices.

This template uses {{Metabox}} as its base, and most parameters in {{Metabox}} are available here as well.

Parameters

• |expiry= - used to set an expiry time for the editnotice.
• |type= - sets the color of the message box, based on {{Metabox}}. Defaults to info which produces a light blue.
• |backgroundcolor= - sets the background color of the message box. Provide an HTML color code.
• |headercolor= - sets the header color of the message box. Provide an HTML color code.
• |image= - adds an image to the left size of the message box, automatically resized to 60px. Include only the filename, not the namespace prefix or link brackets.
• |imagesize= - resizes the image to a custom size, in pixels.
• |size= - if set to small, template will be converted into a smaller, left-aligned box.
• |headline= - the headline of the message box.
• |text= - the text of the message box.

Expiry date

Editnotices by default do not expire and will display indefinitely. To configure an editnotice to automatically hide itself after a period of time, use the |expiry= parameter. Any valid time format can be used. For example:

• January 2012
• 4 April 2009
• 11:09 April 5 2013

After the given time has passed in UTC, the editnotice will automatically hide itself.

You can additionally make it specific that the editnotice should not expire by setting the parameter to |expiry=indefinite.
