Battle 99: General Buzz Grunt vs Antonio Monty[edit source]

General Buzz Grunt
Antonio Monty
WINNER!
Antonio Monty
Two widowers (or single fathers) left to raise their children on their own. One is more likely to be hard-handed, while the other gives off a more benevolent vibe. Do you prefer the Strangetown father or Veronaville father?

Votes for Antonio Monty[edit source]

  1. Antonio Monty is far more reasonable than Buzz Grunt. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:31, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
  2. Antonio Monty: "Committed to his children, Antonio is determined to get to the bottom of his wife Hero's death." General Buzz Grunt? "The General likes to have his clocks set to military time. He used to enjoy barbershop quartet singing, but that is classified information." Pffft, General Buzz Grunt. He may as well have "The General likes to pick fights on his enemies in the hood, but he's always determined to get his revenge on PT9. He could care less about his two younger sons Ripp and Buck Grunt." Nice try, but I think you need to take more parenting classes and less "How to beat up your enemies as easy as 1, 2, 3" classes. Antonio on the other hand, seems to care more about his family than Buzz ever will. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 22:43, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
  3. Dr Hyde likes benevolent Knowledge sims, but not rigid, xenophobic sims. I think the Son of Monty is better company than General Grunt. AldoHyde 15:38, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
  4. For my money, Antonio and his mother are the nicest people in Veronaville. Plus we're comparing him to Buzz because they're both single fathers, and Antonio seems like a much more supportive dad to his kids. Beatrice Monty (talk) 08:35, August 20, 2014 (UTC)
  5. Seems like a pretty good guy. My vote definitely goes to him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.50.102.173 (talk) 00:29, August 22, 2014 (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~
  6. Antonio seems to be a pretty nice guy who always cared for his children, had to deal with the early death of his beloved wife and got in a feud he probably didn't even want to take part in. Buzz never really cared about his children, ignored his youngest and is hated by the middle boy, was so terrible that his wife divorced from him and started a feud with a neighbor family. --AldeaMalvada (talk) 12:20, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
  7. I vote for Antonio. He sympathizes with one if my sims, Anthony who is hated by basically everyone in his town. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.58.249.76 (talkcontribs) 14:21, August 29, 2014‎ (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Comments[edit source]

  1. Antonio Monty is feuding with five Sims at the start of the game. But I've always interpreted him as the nice guy, the gentleman and the victim. Whatever he is, Antonio is much nicer than Buzz. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:34, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
  2. Buzz is also seldom referred to as "the General" in my player stories, instead as "General Buzz" or simply "Buzz". Because it confirms that outside his job, he is just a Sim like any other, though a military oriented one obviously. I also only let him wear his military uniform when he goes to work, for the same reasons. @K6ka - I'd agree with that, even though Buzz has developed into a more relaxed and easy going character in my game. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:06, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
  3. @C.Syde65: Nope, General Buzz Grunt is busy kicking up clouds of dust as he engages in fights with his dear enemies. Marvelous fun - at least for me, and Buzz, if he wins. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 23:50, August 16, 2014 (UTC)
  4. @K6ka: Yes but as of my fanon stories, it wouldn't have fit my perspective if he hadn't changed his ways. It's kinda weird because even though I like Buzz more than Olive Specter, I still choose have Olive win the fight. See this fanon page for more information. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 00:00, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
  5. Another Grunt family member vs Monty battle? I guess I can't vote yet again. I hope the next one is something different. WayfinderOwl (talk) 06:43, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
  6. Seems like they have prepared a three-way Sunset Valley type for Battle 100. AldoHyde 15:38, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
  7. Veronaville sims are often underrated and less famous than their Strangetown "equivalents". I'm hoping my fanon will spark a form of Veronaville renaissance, ironically by killing off most of them, and setting the survivors in the contemporary technological era. AldoHyde 15:38, August 17, 2014 (UTC)
  8. Tank Grunt won two battles in a row. Will his father be defeated in two (almost consecutive) battles? For once, will the Veronaville character triumph over their Strangetown counterpart? AldoHyde 15:01, August 29, 2014 (UTC)
