Nomination[edit source]

Beds (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)

I, LostInRiverview, would like to nominate Beds (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log) for bureaucratship on The Sims Wiki.

Beds has been one of the strongest contributors to The Sims Wiki in recent months. She is very well-rounded in her contributions, with many edits to the main namespace, as well as file namespace edits. She has been a vocal participant in wiki discussions and active nearly every day on Chat and the IRC Channel. As an editor, she is hugely beneficial to our wiki and our community.

She is also an exemplary administrator. She has served competently since her successful promotion, and has shown herself to be extremely level-headed and fair in her decisions and in how she acts. She has demonstrated an ability to keep an open mind, even when others (i.e. myself) have been unable to. I have on multiple occasions relied on her intelligent and fair judgment to help me reach decisions or to help me see the bigger picture. I have no doubt that she has helped others in similar ways, and will continue to do so.

At this point, I think it's worth mentioning that I have not always been a fan of Beds; for instance, I opposed her initial request for administratorship. Since that point, her behavior and actions have completely obliterated all of my reasons for opposing her - in short, I was wrong. I have come to have complete confidence in Beds' ability to serve as a strong and fair leader, and I know that we will all benefit greatly from this promotion. She has my absolute support in this nomination and in her actions as a user and administrator of this wiki. I can think of very few people who should be entrusted with bureaucrat rights more than her. I hope you all agree as well. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 21:15, November 11, 2013 (UTC)

I must be honest here, I never thought I would get this far on the wiki. I honestly thought I would not even make it to rollback. Which I did; and that was exactly 8 months ago. Then, back in June, I became an administrator, and now, in November, I am being nominated for bureaucratship; this is rather a shock for me. Now, I will admit that over the months, I have came off to certain users who never stayed around, as rude, but others have seen a light in me. A light that no one has ever seen in me before. And I am grateful for that. Now, I have said in the past that I am not keen on becoming a bureaucrat, but recently, I have had a small change of mind. That is why, with a heavy heart and some sort of positivity in me, I would like to accept this nomination. Thank you LostInRiverview for nominating me, thank you to everyone who supported my administratorship request and nomination both times, thank you Lost Labyrinth and AsherÉire for my rollback rights back in March, and thank you everyone for reviewing and having a say in my bureaucratship. Discussion[edit source]

This discussion has concluded.

Beds is almost always getting involved with important community matters such as discussions, which I feel is important for any user let alone a bureaucrat or an admin. She has also demonstrated that she can maintain neutrality and successfully determine consensus which are very important traits for a bureaucrat especially when it comes to user rights discussions. On top of this, Beds manages to stand out within the community and I believe that others could go far by looking up to her. I fully believe that she can handle the bureaucrat tools and I see nothing but positives to the community should the consensus of this discussion work out favourably. I always see Hana in both Wikia chat and the IRC channel which means she's indeed very active for almost everyday. She also actively participates in many community activities. Her experience as a sysop in this wiki for quite some time proves her worthiness into becoming a b'crat as well. In conclusion, she has my support and all I can say for now is good luck for her. --Frostwalker Talk - Read 07:07, November 12, 2013 (UTC)

Beds has been actively voiced in her opinions in many community discussions, and participated in a lot of community activities. Apart from her active contributions to the wiki, which usually revolve around maintaining stuff in the background, she's also very welcome to users. I believe she would make a good and suitable crat for the wiki. Nikel Talk Vote! 05:36, November 13, 2013 (UTC)

Although I am not really active anymore, I have been able to work with Beds and I can say she's been a valuable element in our community and that granting her bureaucratship rights would be in her favor and in favor of the community, since she is very active, friendly, engaging and competent. I wish you good luck :) --RoseGui (talk) 17:55, November 14, 2013 (UTC)

Beds is a caring and concerned user and she has proved she is a great admin. She can be easily found in Chat or in the IRC channel and I think that giving her 'crat rights will be a wise decision for the Wiki. DanPintalkcontribs 22:29, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah sure, wynaut? :D Hana is by far one of the most prolific editors on this wiki, and I'm not surprised that she received this nomination. As said above, I think that Hana's promotion to bureaucrat would be a great benefit to the wiki. She is an active and competent member of the community and is always present in community- and admin- related discussions. She has done only good not only for me but for countless members of TSW. I wasn't exactly too fond of her from the start, but she has really changed for the better and I think it's safe to say she's become one of my closest companions on the wiki. Hana has only been supportive and kind, and I'm fairly certain she will continue to be this way if she is promoted. PGR7 (parler - entendre) 23:09, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

I think that Hana would be a very good addition to the bureaucrat team. She is a kind and friendly user; I almost always see her icon in the chat box thing (and also apparently she is active on IRC, according to what those above me have said), and she never hesitates to comment on a discussion or start her own discussion about an issue she's become aware of. Hana is also a hard-worker and good editor. She is consistent with her edits and makes sure that she fixes the issue. And finally, Hana is active in the fanon namespace, having created a few stories of her own, meaning that virtually anyone who needed the help of an experienced user could go to her. So for the reasons I have stated, I am in full support of Hana becoming a bureaucrat. Best wishes if you become one, Hana, and please try again if don't - I really think you'd do a great job! ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 04:47, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Conclusion[edit source]

After five days, there is overwhelming consensus in favor of Beds being promoted to bureaucrat. Therefore, this RfB has been approved. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 21:38, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
