Licensing Images[edit source]

Hi there, I've noticed that some of the images that you have uploaded did not have any form of license or categorisation. I have added a license and a category to your images but in the future, you should do it yourself. The arrow shows where the licensing menu is on the upload screen, so you can easily scroll down and pick an appropriate license for that image. If for some reason clicking on the license doesn't work, hover over a tab on the drop down and copy exactly what comes up into the description box. Thanks! Images

We appreciate the images you've contributed to the wiki, however it seems you forgot to add some essential information to them. To find images you've uploaded, see your contributions.

Licensing: All images must have their licensing information added. If the image is from The Sims series of games or contains the PlumbBob, it is copyrighted to EA. Add {{Copyright by EA}}.
If you've made the image yourself, you need to decide on the license. The Sims Wiki recommends a Creative Commons license. Unless stated otherwise the image will be assumed to be under the CC-BY-SA license.
See Category:Copyright tags for a list of available copyright options.

Categories: All images must be put in a category. See The Sims Wiki:Image guidelines for basic image categories or browse all image categories to find the correct one. In most cases, your image should only be included into one category and only be put in Category:Images if there is no other place to put it.
See The Sims Wiki:Image guidelines and Help:Category for more information.

Filenames: The image(s) you uploaded contains either an invalid filename or a generic filename. Please avoid using slashes in your files / \, this causes the image to not show in articles. A generic filename is eg. 'screenshot-xx'. These will be overwritten when someone else uploads and image of the same name. In the future, please mark files with invalid or generic filenames with the {{move}} template and an administrator will move it if they haven't already been moved.

If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, feel free to contact me on my talk page. ~~~~

Player stories[edit source]

The Sims Wiki is meant to be an encyclopedia of The Sims series. As such we allow only some player stories and no player created Sims. If you would like more freedom to create pages for your Sims I suggest you do so on The Sims Fanon Wiki.

Sign please[edit source]

Template:Signplease

{{subst:Signplease|~~~~}}

Hello. When you add content to talk pages and forums (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when. ~~~~
