Twinkle is a JavaScript gadget available to autoconfirmed users that provides three types of rollback functions, as well as links to quickly welcome or warn users. It also gives administrators many additional tools to help them with their duties. It was originally developed as a simple reversion script for the English Wikipedia that has since expanded to become one of the most popular user gadgets on Wikipedia, used by thousands of Wikipedians. Many aspects of the tool happily work just fine on The Sims Wiki on Miraheze.

How to enable[edit source]

The simplest way to enable Twinkle is by going to the Gadgets section of your user preferences and enabling it there. Be sure to click 'Save' at the bottom of the page to save your changes!

Using Twinkle[edit source]

See the Twinkle documentation.

Twinkle isn't working[edit source]

  • You must be a registered user, be logged in, and have autoconfirmed access in order to use Twinkle. Very new users and users who are not logged in are not able to use Twinkle.
  • Twinkle doesn't work on Internet Explorer 8 or earlier. You should use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or any other modern web browser, including modern smartphone browsers.
  • JavaScript needs to be enabled in your browser for Twinkle to work. Additionally, make sure you don't have any browser extensions that may be preventing Twinkle from loading.
  • If you're using a touchscreen PC, you need to press and hold the "TW" drop-down menu for the options to appear.
