Well, we could add fans of certain Sims such as Bella Goth. We could also add what the user would want to do, such as "This user would like to meet aliens" or "This user would like to be a lover of Don Lothario". Amalia 15:51, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Here are some of what a user wants to do;

  • This user would like to meet (Sims's name eg Angela Pleasant)
  • This user would like to be rich
  • This user would like to work in the (carrire name) carrire.
  • This user would like to join the Capps and Montys ferd.

Or if a user is a fan of someone or a group;

  • This user is a fan of Bella Goth
  • This user is a fan of the Curious Brothers
  • This user is a fan of the Goth Family
  • This user is a fan of the Pleasant Twins

I like Amilias idea! :D We could have ones about ncps and life states (e.g-)

  • This user is a fan of the grim Reaper
  • This user is a fan of Mrs.Crumplebottom
  • This user is a fan of Aliens
  • This user is a fan of Ghosts

(etc.) but there could be too many userboxes eventually! :S so we should just make ones which alot of people will use :) Matta jr 15:10, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Can someone help me make a user box? Here's the template for making one. Below the first template are variations. The directions are pretty straightforward.
If you want to create a userbox like the ones in the list on the userbox page, then create a new page titled "Template:[X]", and replace "[X]" with the userbox name.
Just play around with the parameters and keep hitting preview until you like what you see. In a parameter dealing with colors, just put in the color name or a hex code, and for width/height stuff, put in the number of pixels. You can also put an image in the id box.

Request :)[edit source]

Since there are userboxes for married, divorced, heartbroken, etc., I thought it might be nice to have a userbox for "this user is in a relationship" or "this user is going steady". Unfortunately I'm nowhere near technically competent enough to make one myself, so I leave my relationship status info at the mercy of those who are. ;) Any help would be received very gratefully by both myself and my boyfriend, who is beginning to worry that I love my Sims more than him. 2)Maybe some instrument user boxes i.e. "This user plays"

Userboxes[edit source]

I've created a few userboxes, such as {{User adopted}} and {{Userbox WikiMercenary}}. I've made them userboxes that anyone can have on their userpage. How do I make it so that anyone who adds the userbox will automatically get a category saying Category:Users/<userbox>? Bakerychaz (talk page · blog) 02:21, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

The userboxes have already included the tags so that whoever uses the userbox will include the category Users/Adopted for example. The code is between the <includeonly> tag. Nikel Talk – Vote – Guess! 19:52, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

There's a lot of examples in The Sims Wiki:Userboxes/fan. Let's take a look at {{Fan bellagoth}}:

See, if you try to edit that code and modify it, you'll learn what those parameters are for. For example, obviously id parameter is for the image and info is for the content. The rest handles the border colors, background colors, border widths, and so on. When you edit it, try the preview button to see the result.

Codes like those need to be edited in Source Editor. I forgot that Template namespace use Source Editor by default. You could try tweaking the values to see what you'll get. I suggest you get used to using Source Editor. It's more handy. Nikel Talk – Vote! 07:36, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

New userboxes[edit source]

I added some new userboxes days ago:

  • This user likes dreams.
  • This user hates dreams.
  • This user is always hungry. (I think this will remove.)
  • This user likes clowns!
  • This user hates clowns!

Also, I'm thinking about adding userboxes about WikiChef and User who wants more userboxes. Though, I don't want the wiki to look like Wikipedia but could anyone agree with this? ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 10:31, June 7, 2014 (UTC)
