Removed .WikiHeaderRestyle nav in Wikia.css

Hi There, I just wanted to let you know that I removed the .WikiHeaderRestyle nav section from your Wikia.css because it was breaking the nav in IE8 (which was reported by RoseGui who mentioned she spoke with the local admins about this issue). Internet Explorer (6, 7, 8) does not support any CSS3 features, which were included in the WikiHeaderRestyle section - which then caused the new wiki nav to fail. Thanks for that! It wasn't me who added the code in, but rather it was borrowed from this wiki's french counterpart (if I remember correctly). I wouldn't have seen it myself since I use Firefox 8 and a custom reskin which pretty much replaces everything. ―ฬђ ^talk 05:15, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Nonsense blog or blog as fanon?

Its definitely not nonsense, but its fanon. I'd drop the user a note telling them about the Fanon namespace which might be a better place to write it, and offer to move the pages there for them. However users are free to make their fanon as blog posts. I wouldn't be too worried about it myself. ―ฬђ ^talk 08:08, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Protecting

Yes wh, the reason i protect 4 request page because on the RFA page i see this 24.163.104.31 just blanking out the page and then reverted by User:VegaDark. im thinking to protect all request page from vandalism because i remember User:RebeccaBlack, User:Decepticonprime and the latest is User:Sforster123 vandalizing the page and i dont want that happen again in the future.

i think only registered user allowed and can use/edit on all request page like voting and requesting so if unregistered user do editing on that it must be a vandal. Im sorry if i do too much... Wir.wiryawan 09:41, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

if the wikia's ToU said that pages should be unprotected, so i think i will not protect it. but maybe if someone vandal that page again, its better to protect it for 1 week or 1 month just like another usual page not permanent like what i did earlier. we both are RecentChanges stalkers arent we? so like you said, we can revert it easily. :)

Fanon Quality

Hi,

I made a Fanon page which you have deleted due to poor quality. I am just wondering what the problem was. I copied the layout from other pages and changed the information to fit mine.

I'm just wondering what I can do to improve the page. If I'm told then I'll be able to fix it up and make better contributions.

Could you please explain to me what I am doing wrong. My Fanon page was Nakisha Bowens.

Template:Sim on user pages

Hi, Dashie. In fact {{Sim}} does check the namespace when deciding whether to add categories or not. You are probably seeing categories on user pages because the pages were moved there from the main or fanon namespaces but the condition hasn't been rechecked. Usually re-editing the page removes the categories added by the template. If you still find problems, link me some examples and I will take a closer look. --a_morris (talk) 00:28, October 31, 2011 (UTC)

From the examples you gave me I found that the traits, favorites and appearances categories were not being checked for the main namespace. I have (hopefully) fixed the templates that create the categories but it may take some time for the changes to take effect.
