So, I'm an "evil witch", aren't I? But our hero has fourteen fingers and toes and rides around on a broomstick...

Anyways, yeah, here's another month's monthly news post! Because we honestly have been neglecting this part of the site, and we really shouldn't be doing that.

New content moderators!

We would like to welcome KailynnKat and SimDestroyer on board our newly incorporated content moderator position! Content moderators have the ability to delete and protect pages from editing, but they lack the full administrator package; they can't block users or edit system messages. They're here to help take some of the work off administrators' shoulders and allows them to focus on creating content, while we administrators focus on more behind-the-scenes matters.

Applications are currently being accepted at The Sims Wiki:Requests for moderatorship#Content moderatorship. If you've been editing here for a good period of time and think you have attained enough experience, feel free to file an application there. Alternatively, if you know of a user that has gained enough experience for the role, you can nominate them as well.

Monthly Question blog revived!

We used to have a Monthly Question blog going on, but it fizzled and died out like a hot spark landing in warm water. The great slipper wearer, however, has resurrected the Monthly Question blog with a new question: Which expansion pack do you hate the most? Drop your answers to that question over here for a chance to win virtual puppies!

Discord's where the party's at!

Although it may seem like things have quietened down a bit here, the launch of our Discord server has just meant that most of the activity has relocated over there. We're still as active as ever, and the success of the Discord server has, in my opinion, really helped mend a rift between the editors of the wiki, the administrators that work behind-the-scenes, and the readers that read the wiki.

For those not familiar with Discord, it's basically a social communication platform that aims to replace Skype, Teamspeak, and IRC. It offers real-time text chat over the Internet, real-time voice chat over the Internet, and real-time awesomeness with both real people and real bots over the Internet. It's free, and we have more information on Discord here.

In the last post, our hero posted a bare URL to invite people into the server. As I am obviously more awesome than he is, I am going to embed the entire Discord widget into this post! Just click on that lovely "Connect" button and you're in! Bare URLs! Bah!

{{#widget:Discord | id = 351897341047078913 | theme = light | width = 500px | height = 350px }}
By clicking "Connect", you agree to abide by the server rules.
