Week of December 20, 2015

Less than a week before Christmas, and approximately two weeks before the New Year! Just to see how far away both are, the countdown timers for both are below (times in UTC):

  • Christmas:
  • 2016:

(We'd also do a countdown for The Force Awakens, but unfortunately it already came out)

Phileas Fogg wannabes aside, let's get on with this week's weekly news.

New patch... new patch!

Patch 28 came out a few days ago, and contains a few bug fixes and some minor retweaking. Just in time for the holidays.

Always remember to uninstall all mods and custom content before installing the patch, and to run the game at least once without your mods and custom content after installing the patch.[1]

The Sims 4 Get Together Guide now complete!

SimsVIP's game guide for The Sims 4: Get Together is now complete! You can read it here.

Battles!
Ding ding!

Battle 134 has commenced, and we're finally seeing an interesting match between two different (and perhaps unusual) candidates!

Norm Cramsky doesn't seem like much to you, and few people know about him. His name is a reference to Noam Chomsky, who in turn is referenced in the MIT Gangnam Style video! Yes, I know Gangnam Style was a 2012 thing, but it's always nice to pull an old relic out of the drawer every now and then!

Okay, now for a more obvious reference to PSY's elevator-twerking dancing: Ye Gangnam doesn't give too much in appearance as far as I can see (But she does look Korean. Somewhat.), but only someone who's lived under a rock would fail to get the reference immediately. And besides, she looks kinda ho— oh wait, nevermind, off-topic. Moving on!

Which one of these two do you prefer? It's people like you that run our battles and determine the winner — vote now!

Focus article of the week
Auror apparently forgot about the Focus Article last week, but I don't think that would've made much of a difference. Since we only had two edits made by only one user on the Electronics article, I'm putting it up as the Focus Article for this week again. Special thanks to AldoHyde for putting in at least some effort into the article. I know editing seems daunting, but it takes a lot of guts, motivation, and coffee to get an article the way it should be. Please, make yourself comfortable in front of the editing window!
