Hello fans of The Sims, Wikians and whoever else,

I myself, as well as others here, are always looking for new ways to engage the community of the wiki. However, one thing I feel we could do more of is reaching out. By this I mean rather than one of us come up with something and simply just ask if you like it, we ask you what you would personally like to see and that is my goal with this blog.

I feel that engaging the community is very important for a healthy atmosphere on the wiki and I feel a big part of that is for everybody to take part as much as possible. We do have numerous tools at our disposal, such as Chat, IRC, Facebook and Twitter that are widely utilised while we have some of the lesser used and/or lesser known tools such as a YouTube channel and a Steam group that we could be making use of if only we found something good to use them for, even on a superficial level. We've also had great success with Battles and Forums as they allow the community to get together and say what they think.

Do you have an idea for something new we could try? Could we improve on one of our other options to make it more accessible for the community? By all means please do comment and don't be afraid to speak your mind. There are no requirements regarding who can comment, so even if you just follow us on Twitter or lurk the place, your thoughts and ideas are strongly welcomed. All ideas will be thought about so please don't hesitate to come forward. Note that this isn't a formal discussion by any means so don't treat it as one - we just want to hear from you!

I look forward to reading everybody's suggestions. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 23:32, April 7, 2014 (UTC)
