Hello and here is another short news blog for this week. And by short, I mean there is very little news to actually report on.

The Sims news

• The Sims FreePlay gets an update that adds legacies. Think of it as Generations for iOS.
• The 10th update for SimCity, which adds the offline mode, is in "final testing" according to Maxis. In other words, they're just adding a couple more things and then it'll be shipped without testing.

Wiki news

• We have discussions going on:
  • Changing the header image
  • Deciding on a term to describe "regular" Sims
• Enjoy editing The Sims Wiki? Think you could possibly do more for the wiki than you can with your current toolset? Why not consider putting yourself forward for rollback, chat moderator, IRC chanop, administrator or bureaucrat rights respectively? Feel free to read our article on user rights to gain an understanding of what these rights are and how they work.

Yes I've copied and pasted this part of the blog for the last two weeks - just shows how desperate we are for something to happen.

Lately I've been modding PC games, such as Skyrim, including but not limited to improved graphics, new content and fixes for bugs that Bethesda didn't bother to fix. Given that The Sims 3 is almost unplayable without mods (and believe me it's still pretty bad even with mods) due to the constant lockup and frame hitching, mods are an essential part of the game. But a lot of players don't just leave it there, and that's my jumping off point for this week.

What do mods mean to you when playing The Sims?

Love them. Whenever I play the game on PC, I always check out some mods to improve the game.

That's all for this week. Hopefully next week we actually get something worth reporting on. With LiR being busy irl, I was hoping my reign of terror with the news blog would be more exciting.
