Seeing as I'm bored, I've delivered the news 2 hours early. This news blog is protected by an always-online requirement but you are able to share games news with your friends, which makes our DRM pointless but nobody cares! Let's get on with the news!

The Sims news

• The Sims 3 Patch 1.55 was released. Still waiting for Steam to push the admittedly interesting update to my game.
• EA have confirmed that The Sims 4 will be revealed at Gamescom in August. EA, y u no E3?
• 5 days until The Sims 3: Island Paradise. Must. Prepare. Body.
• The former boss of EA, John Riccitiello, believes gamers will learn to love always-online gaming, in light of SimCity and the Xbox One.

Wiki news

• User rights application pages have been re-opened. Please familiarise yourself with and follow the new procedures when nominating a user or applying for adminship or bureaucratship.
• There's an RfA for Beds that's in the discussion stages. Please stop on by and have your say.
• Wikia...ruined...the way embedded videos work. As a result, I made a forum discussing videos and how to handle them.
• As always, there are some Community Discussions that need input. Please stop on by and have your say in the future of The Sims Wiki.
