Welcome!
Welcome to The Sims Wiki! Thank you for your contributions to the wiki.
Please sign in and create a user name. It's an easy way to keep track of your contributions and helps you communicate with the rest of the community. Creating a username has many advantages, such as being allowed to create fanon. You can see all of them here.
Questions? You can ask at the Help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
Spotted some vandalism? We have a team of administrators who will happily deal with vandalism when they see it. If you have found some vandalism from a user who hasn't been sanctioned, you can help by reporting it!
Need help? The Community Portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit. You may also try asking for help on the IRC channel, where some users may be able to help you!
Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything about the wiki! LostInRiverview (talk) 05:03, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

Additional Information: No I will not leave you alone. Your edits are completely unacceptable, and show no good faith whatsoever.

Blocked[edit source]

You are Blocked
Reason for Block: homophobic slurs on Same-sex relationship, hostility towards others

Block Length: two weeks
Issuing administrator: LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 06:08, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing The Sims wiki for the reason(s) stated above. Repeating this behavior, or breaking other wiki policies may result in additional, longer-lasting blocks or other actions against your account.

Please note that you may be allowed to request that this block be removed. Please see this page for details.

For more information about wiki blocks, please go here.

Unblock request has been declined

208.157.161.11 (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)

Request reason: As a minor, I live with my parents, who permit me to use their internet connection. I have no ownership of this internet connection, and therefore you have blocked my parents for actions they never performed or even knew about. Please unblock this IP address immediately. Also, in response to my edits being called "homophobic", I would like to use etymology to show that this is not the right word for me. The word "homophobic" clearly breaks down to mean something related to homophobia. Phobia is an irrational fear of something, someone, or some situation. I am not scared of homosexuals, as long as they do not sexually harass those who are not homosexual. This is a political disagreement not a phobia of any type, and I will stop edit warring and accept the community's decision regarding the content of the page in question, despite my moral objections to it.

Decline reason: See explanation below. - LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 16:20, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

An administrator has reviewed your unblock request, but has chosen to decline your request at this time, for the reason(s) listed above.

If you want to make another unblock request, simply add "{{Unblock|1 = Your Reason Here}}" to your talk page. Remember that you need to convince the administrators that your block is either 1. No longer necessary, 2. Unjustified, or 3. Made in error. If you make too many unconvincing unblock requests, or if you abuse this privilege, your ability to edit your talk page may be revoked.

Administrators: If you are unsure of how to use this system, please see the documentation.

Administrator note - to clarify, IPs are very commonly used by more than one person, but the consequence is that, if just one person on that IP abuses their privilege, everyone using that IP will have to be blocked. Secondly, I'm not sure what we're blocking your parents from, because a block here doesn't affect the rest of the Internet. A block here on The Sims Wiki only affects people on this IP's ability to edit The Sims Wiki. You can still read this wiki and edit other wikis. Thirdly, while "homophobic" generally refers to "a fear of homosexuals", this edit otherwise shows that you may show disapproval or disagreement over the LGBT movement. While everyone's beliefs are respected, disparaging a group such as in this manner is not permitted. We understand that everyone has their own opinions and in the end we must try and respect as many of them. I hope you know that there are LGBT members/allies on this wiki, so if you do communicate with one of them I strongly advise you not to use LGBT as a defense or offense, and better yet, to not mention the subject at all. I'd also advise you not to edit pages in this field, such as Same-sex relationship, since you may have opposing views that prevent us from keeping the article neutral and about information and not spreading beliefs or ideas.
This block will expire in two weeks. If you want to read the wiki, you are welcome to do so, as you simply cannot edit the wiki, but that doesn't restrict your ability to read the wiki. In the meantime, you can think about and take some time to reflect on your actions (though I believe you already have done so). If your parents do try to edit The Sims Wiki and find out that they have been blocked, show them this message.
This unblock request will remain open for another administrator to accept or decline. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 15:12, September 30, 2014 (UTC)
I have declined your unblock request, but I have reduced your block length from two weeks to three days. Your behavior was unacceptable, but your unblock request shows that you are trying to be reasonable.
Be aware that the edits you made to same-sex relationship are not and will not be accepted. Wikia's Terms of Use prohibits "any content that is obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party, or content that contains homophobia, ethnic slurs, religious intolerance, or encourages criminal conduct." The edits you made to same-sex relationship were derogatory, disrespectful and prejudicial. Whether or not you agree with LGBT rights or homosexuality is irrelevant, as all articles on The Sims Wiki must be written in a neutral point of view. As K6ka said, it would be in your best interest to simply avoid editing any articles on the topic of same-sex relationships or homosexuality, if you are unable to keep your personal opinions to yourself.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please leave a message here. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 16:20, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address, among other benefits!
