Welcome to The Sims Wiki! Thank you for your contributions to the wiki.
Please sign in and create a user name. It's an easy way to keep track of your contributions and helps you communicate with the rest of the community. Creating a username has many advantages, such as being allowed to create fanon. You can see all of them here.
Questions? You can ask at the Help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
Spotted some vandalism? We have a team of administrators who will happily deal with vandalism when they see it. If you have found some vandalism from a user who hasn't been sanctioned, you can help by reporting it!
Need help? The Community Portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit. You may also try asking for help on the IRC channel, where some users may be able to help you!
Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything about the wiki! Mathetesalexandrou (talk) 23:14, May 3, 2015 (UTC)

Regarding Markup of Isabella Moran[edit source]

If you wish to keep your fanon, you should make an account and claim that fanon with the {{Property|"insert your username here"}} tag. Creating an account is easy, so do so to keep that fanon up (and develop it for us to see)

RE: Let Anons Contribute![edit source]

Hi. Anonymous users are allowed to contribute (more than welcome to, actually), but they just can't create fanons, because we need them to be attributed to at least one author. Since an IP address (which identifies an anonymous user) can change, we can't know for sure that the same IP editing is the same person. It also causes issues when the initial author has their IP changed and it's impossible to know for sure if they're the same person. This is why we ask people to register before creating fanon (it's free and takes only a few seconds!) --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 13:16, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

What k6ka said. Since fanons are the work of specific author(s), we need to be able to identity who that is with a permanent id. Otherwise we will have other ip say that the fanon work is theirs, and we have no way of knowing if that is true or not. -- Icemandeaf (talk) 14:04, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address, among other benefits!
