The formatting looks good. Pages that use the template can be added to categories under Category:Users if you add the category to this line:

Spelling Differences

After checking out the The Sims 3: Ambitions article (how awesome does that EP look!?!?!?!), I had a question that came to mind. Should I spell in Canadian/ British English, or American? I am (and probably you too, considering you live in Canada also) more used to using Canadian. So far, I've used Canadian on all the articles I've edited, but used American on my userbox templates. I was wondering if you have a preference, which it appears you don't, because you spelt "Rumours" the Canadian way :). Userbox Boxes

Now that I know how to make those userbox box things, I actually want to make more :D. I want to make some using images from moodlets, but I'm skeptical on whether I should make them or not. They won't be actual moodlet ones, because that'd take a long time. They'll have an image of a moodlet and say something like "This user likes teddy bears", using the image I linked the words to. Spellbound Teaser Poster?

HI i'M BACK! and I found a possible Magic EP teaser poster, but the plumbob on it looks photoshopped to me and it says joel faber in the bottom right-hand corner too: File:PossibleTS3MagicEP.jpg

article deletion

Hi, amorris. I wanted to inform you that the theory that Vita Alto's urn or her family existed anywhere in The Sims 2 has disproven. Jill Smith

You don't really know I was recently moved the Strangetown version of Jill Smith into Jill Smith (Strangetown) article. The Jill Smith article is now a disambiguation page of two pages consist are of a Strangetown child and a Garden Club. Could you please move it back? Thanks.

Therefore, Jill Smith (Strangetown) is the article of Strangetown's Jill Smith, the youngest daughter of PT9 and Jenny Smith. ApprenticeFan 13:23, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

When someone is searching for Jill Smith I think it is safe to say they are looking for the Strangetown character and not the Garden Club character, therefore that should be what they get. Directing them to a disambiguation page is unwelcoming. Also calling the disambiguation page Jill Smith (disambiguation) is extremely clear as to what that page is about. Third, there were so many links already linking to Jill Smith, I didn't want to have to go through them all and change them as internal links should not point to disambiguation pages unless they are supposed to. --a_morris (talk) 14:37, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Ack, I hate vandalism

This user vandalized my talk template, my user page, a userbox box thing (I still don't know what they're called) I made, and the majority of my images (he added a picture of a bloody baby to my talk template, he added bad words and pictures of bloody babies to my user page, he added a picture of a drawn bloody baby to the userbox template thing, and he replaced my images with bloody babies). I blocked him for 1 year, which may be a little too long but I know he did all that vandalism on purpose. Luckily, DavidMC123 reverted most of it by the time I woke up, but unfortunately there was still more. I'm scared that he'll come back or something (by making a new account, etc.) so I protected my talk template and my user page. So, if you see any more vandalism on anything related to me (or any vandalism in general, bloody babies aren't my favourite thing to see in the morning)and you're on please revert it as quickly as possible :). Not Again

Oh shoot. I am really mad with the trolls/vandals/whatever you want to call them. I'm a little scared to go to my user page, so I just want to know if you know if anybody has actually reverted the vandalism. I sent Angela an email about this. I seriously think the vandalism is getting out of hand. Oh, and I changed the recent vandal's block from 1 week to 1 year, because they sent me this wonderful warning "One attack. Once a day. Every day. This is all your fault. Ihe only way to save your beloved Sims Wiki is to leave forever. Excuse me

Excuse me, I'm OGblack and I had put some picture of Nina Caliente on sims wiki. and I went to go look at it and the pictures were gone. according to some feature on wiki, it said you were the last on at that page. SO did you delete my pictures. If so why?!

No, the person who edited the page before me did. They were removed because they were of low quality and I believe not canon. The gallery was placed at the top of the page as well which made the page look weird. I have been a member of the Sims Wiki for a few months now, but have been a fan of the Sims for nearly nine years now, and I want to become a proper member of the community. I want to become an administrator, so that I can contribute more to the site. I never use slang and always use correct form when I write, so you know that my contributions will be worthwhile. I would have made a request on the request page, but it was not working properly on my computer.

I know I'm not A morris, nor am I even a bureaucrat (I'm a sysop), but you have to request administratorship here. Otherwise, you're either not going to get a response, or you will be asked to request administratorship there, like I'm doing now. Kiwi_tea - n00b. TALK - I am the Walrus Hey A morris, I know I'm making a LOT of edits, so if there's anything I'm doing that defies previous convention, let me know. I don't want to make more work for others. I've tried to go through and categorise most of the images I uploaded (you can now browse to images from WA within their own category), but there're bound to be some I haven't caught yet. Are there any projects I should take up in the TS3 realm? My focus has been on getting TS3 up-to-date and comprehensive in time for Ambitions, so that when it's released there's a really coherent infrastructure already to add new info onto. At the same time, I want to keep it consistent with the TS2 conventions here - but I don't really play TS2 - so I could easily go wrong. Drop me a line on my talk page whenever you think I could be doing things differently or better. (PS. I take it we're getting the grammar a little better with the whole 'Such-and-Such Family' vs 'family' thing. 3. How do you make your own userbox? I've been looking for a specific one but I haven't found it.

Kiwi Tea removed it once, and I've removed it twice, but Jmgdigimon keeps putting it back. Since this could turn into an edit war, I thought I'd pass it up to you before it goes on too long. Nominating Adminship

Auror Andrachome - My love for sims has died out. TALK - Why hello there! Doesn't my talkbox look like somebody you remember? Anyway, I find it really apalling that users get to request adminship. I propose you take off the following people's adminship, TheDataMonster (What was the point of giving him adminship?!) JAL (She is inactive), Bella Goth (She has very bad grammer), Walker guy94 (I don't really see him as an admin), and that should be all. A morris, I'm not trying to hurt anybody's feelings, but, if you want a successful wiki, than you're going to have to lay off a few people. S/he sounded like either a little kid goofing around or a newbie who doesn't know any better. What if this is someone who really loves The Sims and could become a great contributor someday? You can't really give anonymous user warnings because they don't have a static talk page. I found "stripping" as a career deserving of a temporary ban. I have ended Italay90's ban. Hi. There have been a lot of edits back and forth regarding Twinbrook. Since everything pre-release is highly specultaive, would it be possible to semi-protect the article for about a week until the game is released? The page is sort of developing into an edit war and, again, we won't know any real facts until the game is actually released, so the edits are really pointless and distracting. Need ambitions info template

Hi there, not sure where to ask this and I see your name popup more often than not so I thought I'd try here. Is there a template for articles needing an update with Ambitions stuff? I've seen other wikis dedicated to games with content updates do it. It informs the average user that the page might not have been updated for the newest content yet. A category might also be a good idea, so you can quickly see where info is needed on the newest content. I think this would make it more accessable...accessible.. manageable for contributors to add stuff instead of just filling in the blanks when they don't find the info themselves. Messed up Template

Hi again A Morris. a user added an image to the Needs image template, which made me confused for many minutes wondering how a picture of the Twinbrook Baker family ended up on the page for Glitches. I went to that template and undid that user's edit, but I felt you should be warned - I don't know whether it was done intentionally or by accident, but I went onto their talk page and told them what they had done (in case they didn't know) and warned them to be more careful when editing templates. Thankfully it was something simple, because I was very confused as to why there was an image on that article, and hopefully it was just an accident and not done on purpose. Thanks. Help with a template

Hi, you seem like the resident template nut around here. I was wondering if you had the time to look over a template I'm trying to make. It's almost done, I'm just ironing out the kinks, but I can't quite figure this last bit out. I set up the template at User:Duskey/Template and trying to implement it into a copy of a patch page in my sandbox. I figured out how to add ifs so if I only enter one game version, it'll only show one row in the table. Problem is it registers the lineskips between the ifs when there's no subsequent input (like how it is in my sandbox now), but when there IS subsequent input it needs those lineskips to create a new row in the table. Hmm, seems I'm not outta the woods yet. I'm having trouble with the implementation of categories. I rigged it so the template include articles to be added to Category:Patches and updates, but so does the template itself and the /doc page since there's a sample output. I typed in on the template page and on the /doc page. When I edit the pages though, the code isn't showing like it does on all the other templates and the category is merely added down in the category box. I added the template to the wiki now and I think I did it without breaking anything. I included it into Patch 12 to test it out. Seems to work fine, but I'm not using it anywhere else until it's completely done and properly categorized and everything.

Categories are treated different when on the 'Template:' pages, they don't give themself a category as soon as I enter [[Category:Infobox templates]] for example. One thing though, I added a {{Checkmns}} to the template for categories being added to pages with the template, but since all the patch pages are in the The Sims 3 directory, they aren't treated as being in the mainnamespace. I can't add the category to pages outside the mainnamespace or the template itself will get it too. Does this mean I have to use the #if method you mentioned aswell? Power aspiration image?

A question has come up as to whether that image should be deleted, as the Power aspiration has no icon. I've thought about it, and come to the conclusion that the user who uploaded it may have meant for it to indicate an incomplete aspiration instead of meaning it to be the aspiration's icon. What do you do if you think an admin hasn't been acting in accordance with the policies of the wiki. I'm torn between explaining my disapproval on the individuals talk page or reporting it on another admins talk page. I'm not out to flame said admin, just explain that his/her words could have been chosen better. The subject specifically is the 'don't feed the trolls' mantra. Seeking some advice

Hi! I realize that you're an experienced template-maker, and I'm trying currently to learn more about how templates work and how to make them (this is partly for this wiki, but also for another wiki I'm working on). For instance, I've already created a template (Template:Expand) and I think I have a rough idea of how things work (the <nowiki>, <noinclude> and <includeonly> tags, the 't' template, etc.) and I'm also familiarizing myself with categories, traits belonging in certain categories, etc. I've tried exploring this Wiki's help and the main wiki's help on template-work, especially in more complex templates than the one I've made, but have had a hard time getting really useful info. Do you a) have any advice or words of caution, especially looking at what I've already done, and b) know where on this or another wiki I can get a good base of information? As for caution, I try to be very sure of what I'm dong before I do it, especially in something like templates where it afffects possibly hundreds of articles.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. I don't have any specific tasks at the moment, ones which I might need your direct assistance or adivce on, but if I should come up with any ideas I'll let you know.
