Welcome[edit source]

Hi, welcome to The Sims Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the File:Sims-3-EP02cover.png page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- A morris (Talk) 03:49, 2009 December 20

It is most likely fake. It is quite obvious that The Sims 3 logo was cut-and-pasted, the rest of the cover is blank and the developers logo is missing.

Here is another:

Welcome![edit source]

Hi and welcome back to the Sims Wiki. If you have any questions just leave a message on my talk page! Salemguy123 22:18, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

Hi[edit source]

Hello Dentface. There are definitely releases planned for the coming year, see the references for The Sims 3 (console). The Sims 3: Hobbies and Professions also seems likely to be the next expansion pack. However nothing has been confirmed by Electronic Arts. --a_morris (talk) 20:32, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

Goth Family Decoratives[edit source]

Salinlovecake - MySims Standup, this is Roxie Road!
TALK - 12:38, July 18, 2010 (UTC) "Don't forget clean me!"
Hey. I saw Goth Boy's House has 3 person on spooky pictures name: "Bella", "Mortimer" and "Alexander". I need you to confirm with A morris or anoters admin.

Late Night Placeholder[edit source]

Please do not add the user created placeholder for the Late Night box art cover. User created content on this wiki is limited to player stories and artist's rendering on The Sims 3 expansion pack rumors. If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, you're welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 23:42, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

So it is, but it is still not the logo nor the box art for the game. Duskey(talk) 23:54, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Warning[edit source]

This is a warning. You were specifically told by another administrator not to add custom-made images to The Sims 3: Late Night page. While we appreciate you trying to help improve that article, we would prefer it if you would not add non-official cover images as we are trying to keep unsourced and unofficial content off that page. Thank you. -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 19:48, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Please show me a link to somewhere within an EA website where that image can be found. Thanks -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 19:54, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, can you link me to the page that the image appears on, not the image itself? -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 20:05, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
My apologies. You can disregard this warning... in addition to that link, it's also visible in the EA store, so it will be added to the article momentarily (if it hasn't been already). Thanks for clearing that up. -- Patrick (LostInRiverview) (talk)(blog)(random page) 20:24, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Renaming pages[edit source]

I see you've renamed some pages. Although we do appreciate your effort they are not in accordance with our naming policy. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization). Your edit have been reverted. If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, you're welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 19:58, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your images[edit source]

We appreciate the images you've contributed to the wiki, however it seems you forgot to add some things to them. The images in question are:

Licensing: All images must have their licensing information added. If the image is from The Sims series of games or contains the PlumbBob, it is copyrighted to EA. Add {{Copyright by EA}}.
If you've made the image yourself, you need to decide on the license. The Sims Wiki recommends a Creative Commons license. Unless stated otherwise the image will be assumed to be under the CC-BY-SA license.
See Category:Copyright tags for a list of available copyright options.

Categories: All images must be put in a category. You can browse image categories to find the correct one. In most cases, your image should only be included into one category and only be put in Category:Images if there is no other place to put it.
See Help:Category for more information.

The images belong in Category:User files since they are user created Sims. Some of the images are also not featured on any page. If you have no intention of adding them, please mark them for deletion.

If you have any further questions about this message or this wiki, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 13:22, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Fast Lane icon[edit source]

Thanks for the icon, for future reference, game icons and game logos belong in Category:Logo. Duskey(talk) 08:20, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

[edit source]

May I ask why you reverted the Supernatural logo to the version without the "Expansion Pack" in it? Nikel Talk Vote for Featured Media! 08:52, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

I understand that the version I uploaded had smaller dimension. It seems that you uploaded it twice, making the current version to not have the "Expansion Pack". I should revert it to your version which has it. Nikel Talk Vote for Featured Media! 09:05, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Delete[edit source]

Which image in particular is a duplicate? Or do you want me to just delete the one you attached in my talk page? Nikel Talk Vote for Featured Media! 04:47, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

So which image is to be deleted? Or has it been deleted by other admins? Nikel Talk Vote for Featured Media! 06:19, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
Done. Nikel Talk Vote for Featured Media! 07:25, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

[edit source]

Ugh. Once again, I reverted your image without asking your permission. Which version of the logo is better? The larger size has bigger blank space around them, so I prefer the first logo. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:34, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

No, no, I meant I forgot to ask your permission before reverting your image, not you who needed permission. Well, if you don't mind, I'll use the first logo, okay? Thanks! Nikel Talk Vote! 01:38, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

[edit source]

Could you find World Adventures logo that is big enough and has transparent background? I just realized this wiki doesn't have it! Nikel Talk Vote! 07:52, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah! Thank you! How did you get all those logos anyway? Nikel Talk Vote! 08:25, July 9, 2012 (UTC)
Oh... great job though! :) Nikel Talk Vote! 08:33, July 9, 2012 (UTC)
Nice job, Dentface! :) Will you do me a favor? Next time for the upcoming logos/images (e.g. weather etc.), can you name it to the correct file name like File:The Sims 3 Weather Logo.png? Because the previous logo names are already jumbled. This is just for the sake of consistency and to make me happy because I'm kinda perfectionist. :p Nikel Talk Vote! 08:44, July 9, 2012 (UTC)
You can see it now in the file history. Geez, what a terrible fake logo! You can save it or do whatever, but since the file is unused anyway, I'll delete it momentarily. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:09, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

Vector?[edit source]

This one...

Hello. About this image:

Are you sure that's a vector? Where do you get it? Just to clarify.

TWikia Talkie

I see. That's actually doesn't look like a clean vector to me. Mind if you can give me the link to that vector? 18:03, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

Image licensing[edit source]

As stated in this wiki's Image and File Policy, all images uploaded to the wiki need to be accompanied by the appropriate license. An image you uploaded - File:The Sims Medieval Deluxe Pack Box Art.jpg - lacked that information, so I have added it. In the future, please be sure that you include a license with all uploads, and as much information about the copyright as you can.

If you have any questions about this matter, or any other questions or concerns, please contact me on my talk page. -- LiR speak ~ read 19:12, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

Additional Information: You were previously notified to add license information to images, which you failed to do when you uploaded this image. In the future, files you upload lacking a license will be deleted, in line with Image and File Policy.
