User page edit

Hey LiR! Thanks for your message! I'm doing alright on the Wiki. It's a friendly community and I can always talk to them. And also there are not so many vandals here, which I compliment the admins for too! But what I find a pity, is that not so many users have really started advanced editing. I don't find that bad, I had to learn too. But what could be a nice idea is to have some sorts of program that helps users with editing. I know it sounds a bit the same as the adoption program, but this could be something else. This could be to encourage the whole community to start editing, and learn them the basics of editing, and guide them along! The idea can get some improvements, but I think that's a nice idea! :)

What's also nice to have some projects on the wiki! Making a good fanon with multiple (for example 3+) users, having a group that focuses on improving canon articles in a specific category. And you can get an award when you've did a good job. This could also be a good idea to stimulate the community, and award them for the hard work they put into the wiki. Also, because fanon is a major thing here, we could do some nice things with it too!

Hi LiR! Thanks for the message, I think contacting users in this way is a good way to make admins seem less remote. There was one suggestion I've been meaning to bring up. I've found that the pages tagged for cleanup have been a good way to focus on constructive edits, but it's not always clear to a less experienced editor what needs clearing up on the page. Some of them do give a reason, which makes it a lot easier to understand and feel confident in your edits. I think some way of communicating what specifically needs fixing on each page would help more users to be confident in canon editing. Other than that, I like Sims2Player's idea of having some editing tutorials, particularly for more complex things.

Access to TSW's Facebook and Twitter pages

With regards to The Sims Wiki talk:Admin Portal#Use_of_Facebook_and_Twitter_profiles, I would like to request access for TSW's Facebook and Twitter pages. Although I can't promise that I will be too terribly active, as I've lost considerable interest in The Sims myself, I may be able to from time to time post some updates when I get the chance to. It will also allow for more administrators to have the rights to pass on moderation to new admins/representatives should the need arises, since I'm usually available even if I don't generally do anything.

Portable infoboxes

I apologize for leaving this unattended to for a couple months. Thank you for your detailed reply and instruction!

I have prepared a base portable infobox theme aligning with the test infobox you kindly prepared. The code is lying at my common.css. I have also prepared a functional draft of the {{Game}} infobox, which supports the generation-centric color scheme of the original infobox. To my understanding, {{Vgcode}} and {{MGL}} standardise the name parameter and convert it into a generation variable for input into the color templates. The simplest solution to get the current infoboxes working is to use those two templates in the same manner and recolor using CSS. :)

I understand that the theme will likely change to the wiki's needs before becoming final. Pitching the infobox redesign to the community sounds like a good idea. So does the migration. Converting to portable infoboxes will hopefully allow your community to centrally implement and roll out redesigns like this faster.

You may view the fruit of my work by visiting my user sandbox and pasting the following code into the console. Do note I'd really need to post this CSS into a wiki stylesheet to show it to the community. :3

Infobox Sim addition

So I have been lately seeing you work on the Infobox Sim template and since I still got a chance to say this, could it be possible to add clubs from The Sims 4: Get Together to the social standing section? It has already social groups from The Sims 3: University Life and adding clubs won't probably do any bad. Just most likely have it the same way social groups do it, but add the pre-made Windenburg club icons, rename the "Social group" of the infobox to "Clubs" and have the

I'm sorry that I didn't get back to you right away, as I had a busy weekend with another community. I did hope to get back to you this week, but it would appear you went ahead with new infobox designs. I'm sorry that I couldn't be a part of that, as I spent a lot of time prepping portable infoboxes for your community for presentation. While I hope that you will eventually adopt a PI-based design in the future (and I could have adopted the style of what I had to match your new aesthetic), I will no longer be able to have a design ready to present to you this week, due to substantial retooling required to do so. Due to the pressing need for Portable Infoboxes on your community, I will pass back to you in a couple weeks with a new design.

In regards to File:GracearthurWooHoo.png

I can understand why the photo I posted was deleted. When I posted that photo, it was more for story telling reasons than anything, not to be disruptive, vandalize or cause any harm. The Glenn family is a new legacy project that I have been playing in Sims 3 throughout the summer, and I wanted to show the different aspects these characters' lives which included "WooHoo". It is my personal belief that nudity isn't inherently sexual or something to be ashamed of, so I thought that adding a pixel censor to a cuddling photo would be acceptable (plus, Sims don't have genitals) but clearly the Sims Wiki think otherwise. I wasn't really up to date on the rules of the Wiki as I read the rules last in 2014 when I created the account (and I was 14 at the time, now I'm almost 18, a lot has happened since then). I had also taken a large break from actively posting/editing in the Sims Wiki between July 2017 to June 2018, so I just didn't think about it when I should have. The page George Glenn also had a similar photo to File:GracearthurWooHoo.png, so I took it off the page, and any administrator is free to delete the file (I don't know if I can do that or how to). I promise that I will try to refrain from posted any more photos with Sims pixelated nude. I don't want anything problematic on my pages. DarkSuicune2000 05:04, August 20, 2018 (UTC)

Re: Misuse of rollback tool

What edit exactly is this for? If this was for the rollback on the StrangerVille article, that was my edit I did it for.  Apparently, I thought entering on the article would fix the article name from being all over the place, but then I realized it was my Chromebook.

Oh. Well, yes, there's was nothing much for a rollback about the edit, but the thing most concerning me was the edit on line 31, where, changes in bold , was;

General Chip Grunt' '(Gen. Buzz's father): Means a lot of things, such as French Fries. Also can be a nickname of Christopher or Charles. Missy Grunt (Gen. Buzz's mother): A young female; It also means Miss Grunt. Or, it can be a nickname of name Melissa.

Shared images
