Just a head's up

Just so you know, female teenage Sims in The Sims 2 can't access the round glasses, but the other stages from child to elder females can. And the child male Sims can, of course. Some of your edits

It's true that most elder ancestral Sims still have days left in their lifespan when they died, but a lot of them died from old age, so it hints that they had access to elixir of life at some point during their lives, because they shouldn't have that many days left in their lifespan.

Also it says in the articles that they may have had access to elixir of life at some point during their lives. That does not necessarily mean that they did have access. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 12:06, September 29, 2017 (UTC)

But still, even if they did use the elixir of life, their age bars don't make sense if they died of old age (which is unlikely some of them did, as many of their children are young enough for them to still be alive). And also, it's 100% speculation, so I don't really think it needs to be on the page. I am not disrespecting your opinions, as I'm fine either way. Mariaw (talk) 02:04, October 1, 2017 (UTC)

Black-eyed Sims

RE: Create a Sim

Nah, it's definitely light brown in my book. The brown hue is too strong for it to be blonde, while the yellow hue is overshadowed in favour of the brown hue. But it can be difficult to determine which probably explains why there is a debate between what passes as light brown and what passes off as blonde. Another technical reason why it should be considered light brown - though not the most important reason - is that there are already two default shades of blonde when looking at the default shades in The Sims 3. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:04, September 16, 2018 (UTC)

I know that hair colour meant to be light brown, otherwise I wouldn't have changed it to say Light Brown rather than Chestnut. I just barely see any brown hues in it for whatever reason; to me, it looks more of a natural blonde than either of the preset blonde colours, and as such, I would consider it blonde (especially compared to brown hair in TS2 and light brown hair in TS4). But you do have a point, and I am willing to overlook my opinions to list it as light brown on Sim pages. Ah, okay then. I usually judge the colour of someone's hair based on the strength of the brown, red, and yellow hues, rather than how light or dark a colour is. If the red and yellow hues are strong, then I usually refer to the hair colour as orange/red. If the red hue is strong and the luminosity isn't very high, then I see it as being dark red. If the red and yellow hues are strong and the saturation isn't so high then I see it as being brown. If the red and yellow hues are strong and the luminosity is high but not too high, then I usually see it as being light brown, depending on how high the saturation is. If the yellow hue is stronger than the red hue but there's still enough brown hue so that it isn't yellow, then I see it as being blonde. Anything that's more or less partway in between orange/red and blonde, I consider to be strawberry blonde. But yeah, the lines between dark blonde and light brown can be barely visible at times. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:11, September 16, 2018 (UTC)

Taking another look. the hair colour definitely has a strong brown hue. But in my personal view, it has a stronger blonde hue, which to me, makes it look dirty blonde (especially when viewed in-game). I definitely wouldn't list it as brown on fanon pages if I had any, but I would on official Sim pages. Mariaw (talk) 00:37, September 17, 2018 (UTC)

Eye color

Where do you get the information in the game files for the eye colors? Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 07:07, December 9, 2018 (UTC)

From here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=4535348. I know it's this eye colour because it wasn't in the unpatched base game, and the only "new" colour that has grey in the name is a hazel colour.

Also, I can understand your claim on it being grey; I considered it as grey for a while, and it even shares the same flag value with grey. It does have a bluish tone, and while not very strong, it is strong enough to to list it as dark blue. It's kind of like the light brown hair thing with The Sims 3. Mariaw (talk) 17:45, December 9, 2018 (UTC)
