RE: TS2 Sims skin tones[edit source]Yeah, I sort of do have a comparison against other Sims. Elders are quite hard because their skin tone is lighter than younger Sims with the same one. For toddlers and up, medium is easy to see, and dark. Although light and tan, I tend to get mixed up a lot. The Sims 3 skin tones, can be very hard because every skin tone is different. Light and tan, again, very hard, then I get tan and medium mixed up, as well as medium and dark. Before I know it I'm having an argument with myself choosing which skin tone category to put them in. The townies in question may not officially belong to a social class as such. But I'm just saying that the game has treated some of these townies as social class Sims in the past, such as Toby Siew being treated as a bohemian. Joseph and I have been talking about which adjective is best when describing Sims' hair colours. A basic overview: I think that blond should be used for males and blonde for females, as the words are derived from French and that's how the French language uses them. However, it might be difficult to change all incorrect Sim pages so that they use that usage (if we decide to go with that). Apparently when making him selectable the game recognizes him as a Cancer. All object NPCs with no personality points are considered Cancers. However SimPE and the Sims 2 game don't always agree with one another. In this case you should agree with the game over SimPE. I've tried to add Rod to the family but it doesn't work. C.Syde65 (talk) 04:26, January 3, 2014 (UTC) New Information RE: The Sims 2[edit source]And yes, this is related to corruption, so if you don't want to hear it then I suggest you revert this edit right now. :p It turns out that this method of extracting in-game Sims via SimPE is incomplete - and it's incompleteness will cause neighborhood corruption! The correct instructions are here - after extracting the Sim via SimPE, you have to clone it via BodyShop. Reason being is that SimPE, along with extracting the appearance of the Sim, also takes out a chunk of character data along with it. And, of course, that will corrupt your neighborhood. What you think is short and what I think is short are probably two totally different types of short. If a male Sim has hair in a helmet cut - like Vidcund Curious - I tend to put them in the short hair category. True, Vidcund's hair is quite long for a male, but compared to Bella Goth's hair, it is quite short. When I sort Sims by hair lengths I think about hair lengths in general. This means that if someone has hair like Vidcund, I say that his hair could still be much longer than it is already. I guess I can't argue that Ripp Grunt has medium length hair. But what about Mercutio Monty and Sullivan Buckingham? What category are most people likely to put them in? Even if the templates are fairly straight forward, pulling them into a page can still be a technically costly process when the number of transcluded templates reaches the hundreds of thousands. Wikia is thus setting the limit at 300,000 template transclusions, a number that 99.99% of pages on our network fall below. That said, some of the pages that are above 300,000 transclusions exist on this particular wiki. Once this limit is changed, pages which are "above" the limit will display an error on the page where the 300,001st template call is made. General suggestions for effectively curtailing the number of templates on these pages is to divide the page into appropriate subpages or possibly to combine a number of templates together instead of reusing the same template over and over. Another common issue we see is “nested” templates (templates within templates within templates). Merging some of the code into a single, “flat” template will dramatically decrease the number of transclusions. If you would like specific advice regarding any of these pages, feel free to leave a reply here and we will look into it further. As you can see I have a problem with the species part and I don't really know how to fix it, it could simply be that I messed up something while translating certain things, or maybe I messed some things up because some forms of coding work in English. For example the {{{species}}}s part doesn't apply in Dutch, as in the plural of cat in Dutch is something else then adding letters on the singular form. That's actually a kind of part two of my question, could you help me out in getting those options? As in what I just explained, but also getting the option that if a cate is male it says something like; if male; male cats, if female; female cats. Because also in Dutch there's a different word for saying someone's gender is male and male cats. Many users don't add their own names to the end of their fanons based on pre-made Sims. I would have suggested each user would put nametags to the end of their fanons which again is more or less the same as this idea. Do you have to put Fanon:<Sim Name> (Username) or is it Fanon:Sim Name (Username)? I think I should restart from the very beginning. Because Wikia's bots have broken down with smoke pouring out of them (and the mechanic got electrocuted trying to repair them), they sometimes edit whilst logged out, and sometimes edit when logged in.
