About using blockquote class on Job pages[edit source]

I recall there being a few cases where a single word or a group of them is italicized in the description, so italicizing the whole thing may not be a good idea. - Kai 12 (talk) 16:19, June 29, 2017 (UTC)

  • Oh, ok. I thought it would look better with blockquote, instead of "Description:" in front of it. SimDestroyer (talk) 16:28, June 29, 2017 (UTC)
    • Well, that's alright. I thought the same thing, but there are a few cases where one or two words are italicized in game. If there is any other way to emphasize this text without bolding or italicizing it, that would be good. - Kai 12 (talk) 16:29, June 29, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Categories[edit source]

The Sims 4 lifecycle isn't yet finished, so if future Sims are created that have these traits, we don't have to worry about creating the categories then. Also, having empty categories isn't of utmost concern; if there is potential that the category will eventually be populated, it doesn't hurt to leave it up. Lastly, in terms of fanon categories, we don't know whether or not they will actually be populated; since people are creating new fanons all the time, and since it doesn't hurt to have those category pages anyways, it's fine to have them ready for use. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:41, June 29, 2017 (UTC)

Good to know! However, Dance machine and Squeamish will most likely never have pre-made Sims in those category pages, if the Sims team does not use these traits again in a other pack with more pre-made Sims, which is very unlikely. SimDestroyer (talk) 19:50, June 29, 2017 (UTC)

The Sims 2 Plumbob.png A PlumbBob for you!
You've made 1.5K edits since joining this wiki just four months ago, and you've been very prolific in editing and updating our articles! Here we sometimes give fun little awards like plumbbobs to other users to show them that we appreciate their hard work and their contributions. Keep up the good work! We're glad to have you on board! —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 23:00, October 13, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Infobox Sim addition[edit source]

I have added clubs from The Sims 4: Get Together to {{Infobox Sim}}. I will also add the same functionality to {{Sim}} when I get an opportunity. -- LiR talk · blog · contribs 17:38, December 22, 2017 (UTC)

{{Sim4}} and {{Simbio4}} will now also display clubs if the club1, club2, and/or club3 parameters are filled in. This will work both on canon and fanon pages. -- LiR talk · blog · contribs 20:13, December 22, 2017 (UTC)

Rollback nomination[edit source]

Hi SimDestroyer. I have nominated you for rollback. Please go over to the nomination page and state whether or not you would like to accept or decline the nomination. If you decline, do not worry: it does not look bad on you, and you will be allowed to nominate yourself again in the future. If you have any questions (Such as if you're wondering what this "rollback" thing is) feel free to drop me a message on my user talk page.

You can take a few days to think this over: you don't have to respond to the nomination immediately. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 20:51, December 22, 2017 (UTC)

I have closed your nomination due to lack of response. You can feel free to apply for Rollback rights at any point in the future if you choose. -- LiR talk · blog · contribs 19:51, January 12, 2018 (UTC)

Re: Private journal page in your sandbox[edit source]

I remember that Sims in The Sims 2: FreeTime could also write in private diaries. Maybe include that on the page too? ✨AireDaleDogz✨ (talk) 16:40, January 15, 2018 (UTC)

Nomination for Content Moderator rights[edit source]

Hello SimDestroyer,

I would like to inform you that I have nominated you for Content Moderator rights on The Sims Wiki. I believe that you are a skilled and experienced editor, and that you would benefit from the additional tools that Content Moderator rights provide. I hope that you will consider and ultimately accept this nomination, and that this position will allow you to continue to contribute as an exemplary editor on The Sims Wiki.

Please be aware that you, as a nominee, must formally accept the nomination on the "Requests for moderation" page before the nomination can be discussed by the wider community. Note that you are under no obligation to accept the nomination, and that declining the nomination at this time will not prevent you from applying for this or any other positions in the future (or from being nominated for this or other positions in the future). Please think it over, and record your decision to either accept or decline the nomination here.

As always, if you have questions or concerns about this, please reach out to me on my talk page. Thank you!

Content moderator rights request[edit source]

I wanted to let you know that your content moderator rights request has been approved. Congratulations!

What now?

As you know, content moderator rights give you access to a few new tools to aid in the moderation of The Sims Wiki.

You have the ability to rollback vandalism on The Sims Wiki. To see how this tool works, as well as when it should and should not be used, review this page. Understand that the rollback tool should only be used to revert obvious cases of vandalism, because rolling-back an edit does not allow the use of an edit summary to explain why the rollback is taking place.

You have the ability to protect and unprotect pages on the wiki, as well as the ability to edit fully-protected pages. It is standard practice on The Sims Wiki to leave pages unprotected unless there is a specific reason for protecting them, and then only using the lowest amount of protection necessary, and protecting for the shortest period of time as needed.

Finally, you have the ability to delete and un-delete pages on the wiki. Be aware that the wiki has standards regarding how and when pages get deleted, usually dependent on whether or not the pages meet criteria for speedy deletion or not.

What if you need help?

Remember that the other administrators and bureaucrats on the wiki are here to support you and assist you if you need it. If there's ever anything you're unsure or confused about, you can always reach out to one of us via our talk pages, on Discord, or even on the Admin Portal talk page.

Thank you for the work you've done so far on The Sims Wiki, and best of luck to you in your new role! (Message originally written by LostInRiverview for KailynnKat and shamelessly stolen from him)k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 20:55, March 2, 2018 (UTC)

Warning users when reverting their edits[edit source]

Hi SimDestroyer. When you revert someone's edits, it may be helpful to leave them a message on their talk page; this is particularly important when reverting run-of-the-mill vandalism, since warnings are generally a prerequisite before blocking. Information on warnings can be found here. You may also choose from a selection of templated user warnings here. For templated warnings, most warnings have different levels of warnings. In general, start at level one, and then escalate if the user persists.

For example, if someone vandalized the Cassandra Goth article, you can add the following to their user talk page:

==March 2018 <Or whatever the current month and year is>==
{{subst:Uw-vandalism1|Cassandra Goth}}

That'll produce a templated warning message when you publish your edit. You do not need to add your signature, since the warning template does it for you. If they continue to vandalize—this time, say, the Buffet table article—add the following:

==March 2018 <Or whatever the current month and year is>==
{{subst:Uw-vandalism2|Buffet table}}

You can also skip warning levels and go straight to level two, or even three, if the situation is serious enough. Some templated warnings also have a "Level 4im", which is an "only warning" used in extreme circumstances.
Warnings levels for a user who is logged in do not reset, since it's expected that only one person uses that account. For IP users, warning levels should generally be reset 24 hours after the last warning was given, since IP addresses may be shared. For example, if an IP user has a level three warning that was left two months ago, if they vandalize again the next warning they should get should be a level one, not a level four.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Of course, you're not required to use the templated warnings; you can use handwritten messages as a substitute (and if the user has edited in good faith or simply seems misguided, a handwritten warning is usually better than a templated one). Thanks, —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 23:54, March 25, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for all of your contributions to The Sims Wiki! You've undoubtedly left it a better place than when you originally started. Please accept these awards and feel free to add them to your user page. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 18:47, April 28, 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of Attic[edit source]

I have reversed your deletion of that page as it didn't seem to meet any of the current speedy deletion criteria, and not the proposed new speedy deletion criteria either. For deletions that are not absolutely non-controversial a deletion discussion should be held at Category talk:Candidates for deletion first. Thanks, —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 17:01, April 29, 2018 (UTC)

How Do I do Infobox Templates?[edit source]

I want to jazz up my profile with some, but don’t know how. Also, have you ever had a Sim walk to your lot and do something like read the newspaper without permission or just randomly exercise? Bubbz3388 (talk) 14:41, June 3, 2018 (UTC)Bubbz3388
