Images[edit source]

Thank you for the Late Night image you have supplied. However, you did not insert them properly into the Late Night gallery. Images in a gallery do not need the "thumb" parameter. Also, when taking images of The Sims games from other websites, it is important that you add the source of the image (link back to the article). I also noticed that you put the images in the "Images of Late Night Sims" category, while they clearly do not depict any named Sims from the game. Should you have any questions about this message, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Any other questions about this wiki should be posted at our Help desk. --Duskeytalk 10:39, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

Your uploaded images[edit source]

We appreciate the images you've contributed to the wiki, however it seems you forgot to add some essential information to them. To find images you've uploaded, see your contributions.

Licensing: All images must have their licensing information added. If the image is from The Sims series of games or contains the PlumbBob, it is copyrighted to EA. Add {{Copyright by EA}}.
If you've made the image yourself, you need to decide on the license. The Sims Wiki recommends a Creative Commons license. Unless stated otherwise the image will be assumed to be under the CC-BY-SA license.
See Category:Copyright tags for a list of available copyright options.

Categories: All images must be put in a category. See Help:Categorizing images for basic image categories or browse all image categories to find the correct one. In most cases, your image should only be included into one category and only be put in Category:Images if there is no other place to put it.
See Help:Categorizing images and Help:Category for more information.

Adding source to images[edit source]

When uploading images from other sites, it is also imporant that you provide a source to where you found the images. --Duskeytalk 14:19, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

Image thumbnails[edit source]

When uploading images to the wiki from other Sims sites, it's important that you make sure you get the original image and not just the thumbnail of the image. To do that, you need to save the image when you see it in full-size or right-click the image thumbnail and select: "Save destination as" instead of "Save image as". --Duskeytalk 22:39, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Image Licensing[edit source]

i know Duskey mentioned this before but please add {{Copyright by EA}} to images that you upload. you can do so by opening the pic in a seperate tab>clicking Edit> type "Licensing" using heading 2 then press enter. next line add {{Copyright by EA}} then preview to make sure it shows the copyright template and then save changes. by not adding this wiki risk legal action by EA unless this is added or the image(s) are removed. Please keep contributing to the Sims wiki and remember {{Copyright by EA}} when adding images. thanksBafendo 16:09, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
