Maxis Created
The Valentino family is a Maxis-made family that was once downloadable from the official The Sims website, but eventually taken down. However, the house and the family can still be available for download from this page at The Sims 1 Depot. It consists of Rudy Valentino and his wife, Julia Valentino. Rudy and Julia have a very good (100/100 crush) relationship with each other. They live together in a large 2 story house and are a moderately wealthy family. The name of both the family and Rudy are both probably a reference to Rudolph Valentino.
While players will often place this family in Neighborhood 1, it can be imported into any neighborhood.
Like most of the downloadable families in the original The Sims, their only known appearance is in The Sims, and their existence in other games such as The Sims 2 is probably unlikely, since they, or non of their known distances probably didn't survive to the timeline of the later games.
Onomatology
- Rudy: Diminutive of Rudolph, that originally was an old Germanic name, Hrodulf which was derived from the elements hrod "fame" and wulf "wolf".
