Vera Vex is a Sim who appears in the handheld version of The Sims Bustin' Out. Vera is portrayed as a sort of goth/punk rocker, wearing a black dress and having purple-dyed hair. She is difficult to befriend, with few conversation topics being interesting to her.
After talking with Mel Odious, the player finds out that she is the lead singer of SimValley's local band, The Germinators. The band is currently disbanded until Vera can find other musicians. The player tries to join but is tasked with proving his/her worth by acquiring a guitar, improving his/her creativity, and finding a place for the band to practice. Succeeding in joining the band opens the Jam Session minigame at Club Rubb.
At a later stage in the game, Vera tasks the player with catching Giuseppi Mezzoalto, who she suspects has stolen her guitar, performing a crime. She can most often be found around the Clock Tower, The Burning Spoke Bar or inside Club Rubb.
Vera is mentioned if the player chooses to talk about music with Phoebe Twiddle in The Urbz: Sims in the City. Phoebe claims her favourite song is "Max Is Crazy" by Vera Vex and the Germinators.
