When used the Sim will travel on their own, whereas the [[taxicab|Magic Town Balloon]] taxi service is used to transport the entire family at once. Sims that use the Hole in the Ground to go to Magic Town cannot use the payphones to summon the Balloon; they must always use the Hole in the Ground to travel between lots or to go home. Likewise, Sims that arrive in Magic Town via the Balloon cannot use the Hole in the Ground.
