She provides moral support and advice to Alice throughout the [[Best in Show]] story. She has a dog [[Roscoe Flores|Roscoe]].
Amaya meets up with Alice to chat over coffee much later in the story. She also comes to the dog show final at [[List of Garden Heights lots#Bartholomew Greens|Bartholomew Greens]], to support Alice and her dog [[Sam Whitt]]. She gets into an argument with another finalist [[Diana DeBore]], who is an enemy of Alice. Alice and Sam end up winning the show.
The day after the dog show final, Amaya is invited over to Alice's house, where the story comes to an end.
