Andre was featured in a number of pre-release promotional materials for the game during its development. Andre shares his appearance with one of the default characters in [[Create a Sim]], and appears on the front cover art for ''The Sims 4''.
He can also be found uploaded by SimGuruGraham with a wife named Marie. Andre may of taken her last name as both of them are named Tapas. It was likely Marie was made from Andre using "Play with Genetics" as they look very similar and the household description says "Sometimes when Andre looks at Marie he wonders if he's a bit of a narcissist...".
