Apples are the basic fruits in the sims series and most effective in The Sims 3. In The Sims 2, apples are used for making apple juice and apple products. In The Sims 3, apples can increase food quality by %10 even without a good quality. Apples are also mostly used in cobblers and french toasts. They are also the easiest to grow; in just five sim days for it to mature. Apples are worth 16 simoleons when in perfect quality making it more valuable than most basic perfect quality fruits like grapes and lettuces(worth 12 dollars when perfect).

Another effect is the apple can also increase the rate of a pregnant sims baby to be a male. i.e: 3 apples= 99% boy.

Also nectar-making, apples are one of the ingredients to make amazing quality nectars. They go well in most nectars and renoit grapes.
