Line 10:
Biographies play a major part in determining the canon of the The Sims series. Many Sim or family biographies contain information about pre-made characters and families that would not be known simply by looking at the Sim's memories, the family tree, or other sources. However, biographies do not always sync up with one another. Additionally, biographies often portray events or give details about things which cannot happen or do not exist within the game.

Sims from The Sims 3 Store worldsworlds of Sunlit Tides, Monte Vista, Aurora Skies, Dragon Valley, Midnight Hollow, and Roaring Heights do not have personal biographies. Instead, all Sims of the same gender share the same description.
