Sims can use the vehicle to go to work or school, but the player must manually select them as the owner of the vehicle. This can be done by clicking on the vehicle, selecting "Change Owner", and then the name of the Sim. The carpool will no longer appear for a Sim who owns a car, and the Sim will autonomously head for the vehicle when it is time to go to work or school.
