Purpose?

Call me stupid, but why is this category here? It seems to contain, well, all of the pets in the wiki, if not most. What exactly is considered a distinguishable characteristic? All of the main Sims 1 and 2 pets seem to be in here, and they should be considered the least generic, right? Eupheschism 13:28, December 24, 2010 (UTC)
