Line 1:
The chinese garden (or Zen garden) is a new community lot and a lot assignment for The Sims 3 introduced via The Sims 3: World Adventures expansion pack.

As a lot assignment, chinese gardens provide the Zen moodlet:

While Sims have this moodlet they gain a boost to their Logic skill building, and they also gain a boost to the mediation skill which falls within the Martial Arts skill.

By default the chinese garden lot is only accessible in the travel destination Shang Simla, however it can be set using the Create a World tool and it will function correctly in the base game, The Sims 3.
