As the Civic Center is only accessed by working in the Doctor or Detective careers, there aren't much amenities for Sims to enjoy. There are bare benches and trashcans located on the shoreline and in front of the hospital, but nothing else.

* The police station and hospital are technically in separate identical neighborhoods, only giving the player the illusion they are next to each other. This is seen in the game files, where the two lots are in separate world files and can also experience different weather despite having the same climate.
